Comments about Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Software:
This program was a big waste of money. It crashes anytime I try to do anything slightly complicated. If you're just wanted to edit contrast, and shadow, and what not. Ths program would work for you, but there are cheaper programs out there for that. This program always screws up my RAW files, which is all i shoot. Don't buy this if have a choice. Go with adobe.

Instability issues make it close to unusable with chronic "Not Responding" messages and constant crashes.

Comments about Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Software:
I consider my self a cross between an amature and a professional. I've been involved in photography for years. This program seems to be a great mix. While it seems fairly easy to use, there are some professional software solutions that will cover much more ground. However that comes with a very high cost. If you are the average photographer this is a great solution for you. Would have given it 5 stars if I was more familiar with it. Only drawback I found was that the software included only a "Getting Started" booklet. I would have prefered to see a full size "reference" volume. It may help me understand the features better. There is a pretty good "help" section that is available "in-program" that I have not yet explored fully.

Comments about Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Software:
Bought this as an upgrade from Pro 2. Should have listened to the other reviews about the issues with freezing, locking up and just plain crashing. This is a waste of my time and money. To much aggravation. Corel should be stopped from putting out junk out like this. Have been through 3 versions of this software over the years with no problems but something went horribly wrong with this version. Listen to the others who had the same issues as me. Switching to Adobe products from now on. Sad that Corel cant make a better product.

Comments about Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Software:
PSPX3 has potential, but you sure can't use it with Nikon raw files:
1. It can't tag raw files.
2. The quick view (slide show) for raw files can take up to several minutes before it starts.
3. The camera raw lab does not work properly with Nikon raw files (my D50 files are blown out in PSPX3, but show up as underexposed in ViewNX).
4. If you try to convert a previously tagged raw file (tagged by ViewNX) to TIF, you lose the tag.
5. Only some of the tags on my previously tagged (ViewNX) raw files show up in the organizer (about 1/3 of my files displayed the tags), so you can't sort/select by tag.
Overall, it just didn't work with my D50 raw files. I shoot in raw mode only, and I use a lot of tags in my workflow. PSPX3 just doesn't work for me. I've submitted multiple problem reports to Corel, but not much has happened. For example I submitted the slideshow problem last year (on PSPX2), and it is still not fixed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this product to anyone, which is really too bad because it does have potential.

Comments about Corel PaintShop Photo Pro X3 Software:
I've used Pro 9 for years, were you can edit an Image and go back to the next Images to be edited, Easy they are all on one page. With Pro X3 once you select a Image to be edited it removes all the other images, after editing the selected image you must press ORGANIZER to get back to your Images, but then it brings you back to the first Image not the next Image, if you had just edited #250 Image and you want to edite #251, you must start from #1 Image and scroll all from 1 - 251 every time you edit any Images. This is every time you edit a image It's OK but I edit thousands of Images so this takes all day. With Pro 9 it only took about an hour. There is got to be a better way. If I am doing some thing wrong PLEASE Help. Because I'm not liking it alot, I'm still Using The Pro 9 most of the time, I feel I wasted my money on this one.
