I still have my SlingShot 200AW but as it won't fit all my lenses into one bag along with my camera and flash, I decided to upgrade. I can now fit all lenses (including the Nikon 80-400mm) with lots of other pieces of my kit along with my camera, extra batteries, extension tubes, and other objects. This is an incredibly comfortable bag. I use the side opening all the time. When I want to stabilize my tripod just a little more, I hang the bag from the bottom of my center column and that really makes everything rock-solid. This is a great bag and I would recommend it to anybody. As a child, I suffered from 3 broken collar bones (2 at the same time, once). Since then, I don't like to use the traditional backpack that fits over both shoulders (they feel too much like the support braces I had to wear for the broken collar bones). I am more comfortable with the diagonal strap across the center of my chest.

Was expecting more confortable feel while carrying. Not deep enought to hold even the flash straight, much less my 100-400L. I can only have that lens in the bag if it is attached to the camera which defeats the sling usefulness if I wanted to use other lenses. Lack of rubberized feet the fabric will wear as it did in my NOVA. The all weather does not cover the bag on the side that goes to your back. Thus if you are not wearing the bag one side of it will get wet. Feels too heavy for just one strap when fully loaded.

I have the smaller version of this pack, and wanted a larger version in order to be able to expand my collection of lenses and gear. This has met my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
Nice quality, a cut under the professional grade Think Tank Products, but same product by LowePro is less than half the price. Can fit 5dii with 70-200 with very quick draw from pack time, then can do 4 more lenses, 1 580exii speedlite, and one 2.0 teleconverter, plus lotsa more room in the top compartment - do a backup body and a lens or 2nd speedlite with room for more.

it fits my lenses along with accessories, the main reason i bought this bag was to go along with my 70-200 f2.8 lens while attached to my camera, and it fits perfectly :)

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
I just came back from a 1 week traveling vacation. Used the pack with all my camera gear including my tripod. It is laid out beautifully and functionally. It carried well while hiking and I even had the opportunity to use the rain sheild. Well made and confortable to pack.
Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
I used to have 200AW. This bag gives enough room for my gears. BUT...
It's hard to hang under tripod hook because of its size. I wish the loop on top of the bag where you could graps with your hand, would be bigger or longer so it could be hanged below the tripod hook.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
The Slingshot 302 is a replacement for my Slingshot 200 which served me exceedingly well--it just became too small as my equipment grew. The 302 is bigger and obviously can carry more lenses without adding noticeable stress to my back. With its large padded carrying strap, the bag is quite comfortable and allows for easy bag repositioning for trouble-free camera access. If you like the Slingshots, buy the larger version first.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
Was looking for a workhorse bag that fit me and my equipment comfortably. Tried shoulder bags but they left me listing to one side of the other. Tried Tamrac sling, but it was uncomfortable, not ergonomically well designed and did not allow for all my equipment.
After much searching, settled on this lowepro. Was able to fit my 5d MarkII with a battery grip, 70-2002.8L, 24-702.8L, 17-404.0L, all with lens hoods. Also, 100 2.8 macro and a 2x teleconverter in the main compartment. In the large and roomy top space, able to put 580 exII and mrII macro flash as well as filters an itouch and various other little accessories. The tripod holder held my manfrotto securely, and the built in rain cover worked great while hiking through the Costa Rican rain forest. When all straps secured and snug, the weight of the bag, over 26 pounds, was superbly distributed and left me exhausted from the day, but not strained from poorly distributed heavily weighted camera bag.
Ideally, I wish the bag itself was waterproof or at least the zipper seals, and the tripod strap needs to be secured to the bag itself. When not in use and if you forget to clip it closed, it can fall off. But only minor complaints considering how well this bag performed.
This bag has a small time look and feel, that can deliver big time storage in the field.

I already own the small model but it can't accept the 80-200. The 302AW is nearly perfect.
Fully loaded it can carry 10kg of equipment.
Few thing could have been better, scratch part on total length inside the main compartment, more card emplacementon the cover, 2 ajustable strp bellow to attach a coat.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
This bag fits my camera body, a 70-200, 3 more lenses and a flash. Plus there is a tone of room for extras and my phone and wallet.
The only minus I have is that with all the stuff it gets heavy and starts to hurt my shoulder. But I do like how I can easily swing it around and get my equipment. Overall I am happy!

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
I had the SlingShot 202 but it wasn't big enough for everything I wanted to carry on short trips and was not great for a long lens setup. The 302 is much larger. Great Lowepro quality. It's what I expected and I love the quick access functionality.
Fully loaded you wouldn't want to walk long distances with this, a regular backpack would be better.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
I've been very satisfied with my Lowepro Inverse, but I surveyed the field carefully before buying something large enough for a 10-day overseas trip. Strictly amateur, taking DSLR, 3 lenses, flash and a lightweight tripod, plus typical acc's. This does the job well, will carry all that plus more, but it's a bit large for a typical 'day-pack.' I'll use this for major transport, but will use something smaller for daily outings. Very well engineered, excellent materials and construction, will just fit under airline seat and carry some personal items. For me, it beat out Tenba, Mountainsmith, Clik, Caselogic. Bit large to be called a "sling," but it does work that way.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
This product is perfect for the photographer who likes to wade in the water at the beach or marsh, i.e., where you cannot lay your backpack down. Changing lenses while knee-deep in water or muck is easy. I have the 200-series bag, as well, but found that I needed a bit more room. This bag seems to fill that need.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 302 AW Camera Bag:
I bought this bag to carry my Canon 60D, along with several other small camcorders and other gear. This bag works perfect, with tons of pockets and slots for everything you will need. I used to carry a small suitcase with my gear in it, now with this bag, it is much faster to locate items, and put them back. Less transition time.
