The Sanyo PID-42AE1 42" 1080P HD PID Monitor is a professional quality commercial monitor designed for 24/7 signage and information display applications. Its bright, high-contrast 1920 x 1080 images can be viewed in either portrait or landscape format depending on your needs, or you can break up the display into side-by-side images or picture-in-picture. A generous selection of inputs and outputs--including component, composite, DVI, and RGB--give you numerous ways to put your message on display. This flexibility, combined with RS-232 control and professional-grade construction, make the PID-42AE1 perfectly suited to extended public use.

- Switchable portrait mode--great for vertical image advertising.

- High quality structure and optics for keeping the image clean, clear and beautiful.
- Tough Design Against Image Burn-in
- Improved PI film minimizes image burn-in, which means no need for using a screen saver.
- Extensive Input & Output Terminals
- The PID-42AE1 has multiple input and output terminals, including component (Y,Pb,Pr)/RGBHV (5x BNC) and composite (1x BNC), as well as an RS-232 control port offering daisy chain connection. There are computer inputs and DVI-D input with HDCP for High definition signals, while HDMI connectors and source materials can be converted using aftermarket adapters. There are also jacks for external speakers.

Looked like a great deal but could find no personal reviews. Professional quality monitor with DVI, is the reason I ordered it. [$]! I hoped I would be able to use as a tv also, and toggle between inputs. Not the usual connectors on the back but simple component to rgb cable gives me great HD tv. also has conections on back to add speakers if you don't have an av reciever to get your sound. Hope they extend the sale, I'll buy anouther one next month.
