The Olympus WS-520M Voice Recorder provides 8GB of internal memory, multiple recording formats, and a built-in stereo microphone, along with many other features for one easy to use and affordable voice recorder. Record your audio in MP3, WMA, and PCM formats using the stereo microphone or by attaching an optional external mic thanks to the microphone jack. When it's time to charge or transfer files the WS-520 features a direct PC link called, "USB Direct" for fast and easy transfer.
The voice recorder also features 5 folders that can hold 200 files each, a multiple language 1.23" display, and 21 hours battery life for extended recording and playback. And when you're hands are occupied the recorder also features Voice Activation for hands-free recording. When it comes to editing the 520M is compatible with both PC and Mac.

Haven't used it much, yet, but it's very easy to use. One thing I've found: The Auto Level Control, as you might expect, renders a slight distortion at the beginning of recording. I don't think it'll be too bothersome, though. And, this thing is tiny! So, there's going to be some trade-off. All in all, a nice little recorder.

Used for taking notes on the run, rough drafts while driving, recording inspirations for subsequent transcription. Simple to use once you've read the manual. Included Olympus Sonority software for transcription lacks hotkeys, hence less useful for me on Mac than free software available elsewhere on web.

This is a nice pocket voice recorder.
I mainly use this for recording the meetings. Battery life is excellent. My other thoughts would be like - to have more wider range for voice recordings. If you place the recorder on the table, its recordings are very good. If you keep in pocket - then they are not clearly audible through the recorder.
