I am fundamentally a wedding photographer but have started branching out into landscape and scenic photography, so I was looking for three filters; a polarizer to naturally enhance colors, a neutral density filter to help me get longer shutter speeds and a UV filter to protect my expensive lens from debris, moisture and other foreign objects. I was ecstatic when I found all three in one kit. The filters are very sturdy and well made. Sometimes you can pick up a product and know that it is cheaply made, but that is not the case here. The filters look and feel very professional and heavy duty. The glass is very clear and there is absolutely NO discernible loss of image qulaity when any one or all three filters are placed on the lens. The carrying case is also a nice touch and shows that the folks at Hoya know that serious photographers view these filters as an investment that they plan to keep for a very, very long time. I have no "cons" to list personally, though I notice alot of time people state that price is a con. Yes, the filters are more expensive than their generic counterparts but I also believe that you get what you pay for. Perception is value, and I am completely pleased with this filter set. This was my first set of Hoya filters, but it definitely won't be my last.

Comments about Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit:
I've never been much of a UV filter guy, but I got this kit with my Canon 17-55 2.8 to use the UV as protection. Also, the polarizer and ND filters will come in handy with this lens, and my Canon 10-22. All the filters seem to be of good quality, but the included pouch could be a bit better. There is no protection for the filters but the black netting, which seems rough and like it could scratch the filters if left in the bag for a long time.
I've been pleasantly surprised at the results while using the UV filter. The image quality isn't affected at all as far as I've noticed, and it let's me relax a little and leave the lens cap off inbetween shots without worrying about inadvertently damaging my new lens. Even if the photos aren't improved by the UV filter, my peace of mind is, which is worth the price of admission.

Comments about Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit:
When I purchased a Canon 24-70mm lens, I wanted a Polarizer as well. The stand-alone filter would have been almost as expensive, as this kit - so I went for the kit instead. I have used the POL and the ND, but so far I have not used the UV filter, at all.

Comments about Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit:
Haze Filter - very clear with no noticable negative impact over photo sharpness and a must for protecting your expensive lenses
Circular Polarizer - definitely noticed a positive impact on landscape photography: amazing color depth using this filter
Neutral Density Filter - fantastic for shooting on extremely bright days where you want to capture motion blur (e.g. waterfall) -- some photos would be impossible without this
NOTE: This is an 8 stop neutral density filter which is great for waterfalls but if you are planning on shooting architecture and you want to remove people using slow shutter speeds you would need a 32 or 64 stop filter.

Comments about Hoya 77mm Digital Filter Kit:
Honestly this one is a no-brainer. 3 quality lens filters at an absolutely bargain price.
I use all of these on my Nikon 18-200mm DX lens. The UV filter and Cir-pl filter are pretty self explanatory. The one most people ask about is the Neutral Density filter. It's great for taking pictures of water and waterfalls and getting that nice clean shimmery look. That's why I got this kit over the other kit with the warming filter. I'd rarely ever use a warming filter.
The one downside is probably the case. It's insufficiently padded and if you're going to use it out and about on the move, be very careful. I can easily see the filters flying out of the case as you rip open the velcro flap.

Nice kit with all basic filter you need with a new lens. I use it with tokina 11-16 super wide lens and so far I'm happy with it.
There is a little bit vignetting with the polarizer and ND filters but it's disappear at 12-13mm focal length. the UV is very clean and no vignetting presents.
it's also comes with a nice pouch for 4 filters.

I was unsure of what filters to get, and this was my first filter purchase. I didn't want to go all out and get the top of the range ones to start out with so I opted for this kit. It is perfect and ideal for a starting range. I would recommend this kit hands down.I live in Australia so the price for us is amazing [...]

Nice starter collection. Has everything to get more "advanced" for the aspiring photographer. Hoyas are good quality for the price (actually, just good quality period). Has the most useful filters to have and comes with a nice carrying bag that will fit into a slingbag/backpack. Recommended!

I bought this because I needed a UV filter for a new lens and I have also wanted a polarizer for shooting landscapes and an ND filter for shooting waterfalls so i can use slower shutter speeds. This kit was a great price for all 3 and the quality is good. There are other filters out there that are better glass but for my purposes these fit the bill just fine.
