I love this bag for traveling, because it does not look like a camera bag. I fits comfortably around my shoulder and has extra room for a book, wallet, or anything else you might need.

I was looking for a small bag to use on casual outings and am really glad I found this great bag. It is a great multi-purpose bag because of its removable padded insert, is very comfortable with a nice padded stap, distributes the weight nicely, and best of all it does not look like a typical camera bag (arguably even more so in the Mica color.)

One thing to point out though is that the only padding is found in the removable box structure, which is realistically only big enough to comfortably fit a dslr with a small lens attached. I was able to fit my 60D with a 70-300L (without lens hood) inside the box, but it was a really tight fit and just managed to zip the bag up. The rest of the bag is big enough for a speedlight and another lens or light jacket (if the bag is expanded), a compact camera and other small accesories. I have fitted my dslr with 17-55mm f/2.8, 70-300L and 560EXII speedlight inside with no trouble, which is probably more than it is spec'd to accomodate.

My main gripes with the bag are the lack of pockets and divisions inside (only 3 very small pockets - for memory card, battery/cables) and the quite useless outer pockets with no zipper/velcro (I wouldn't put anything of value inside, especially not a passport!).

Overall, I have found this bag to be good for its intended purposes. I didn't buy this bag to haul all of my equipment deep into the Amazon. It carries my essentials and just a little bit more, and that's more than what I could have asked for.

Got it couple of weeks ago and fits my D7000 with 18-200 attach, with 6 filter pouch, SD memory case, mobile and personal items and still with out open the extra space............. perfect when you travel light for walk around shooting...........MUCH MUCH BETTER then my old Slingshot 100

The Passport Sling is not just a camera bag - it is a multipurpose, great looking day bag. I have taken it with me to three different countries now. It fits all my necessities nicely and it suits a low profile for pickpockets. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to carry their slr and more on a trip.

I needed a bag in order to be able to transport my gears.
This bag was the most casual I found, really not looking as a camera transport bag.
Access to camera is very easy but above all the expandable compartment is very useful.

As other reviewers have said, it could use more pockets inside. Also, you can't store the camera with a zoom lens on, and still zip up the bag. Having said that. I do love the bag. It's lightweight, comfortable, and doesn't look like you're lugging a suitcase around!

Excellent bag. Durable with tons of space for not only camera goodies, but also some water, a poncho, and anything else you might need while traveling. More than enough space for the two lenses I normally travel with.

Also (and this is a big selling point) it doesn't look like a camera bag!

I can fit so much into this bag all the important things are zipped in and as I can sling it across my shoulder the weight is distributed and I feel secure with all my precious gear in front of me.

Quite good space for a DSRL camera and one extra gear, plus a P&S camera, ergonomic design, the extra space really works, it's a matter of choose the right stuff and in my case as a 6´5" tall guy, the size & shape is perfect, strongly recommended for both traveling and regular use. only thing I would like to get, it's an interior small-medium zipped compartment.

I've also purchased and reviewed the Lowepro Stealth Reporter D650 AW Shoulder Bag and I have to say that this is definitely its more manageable and casual counterpart. Where the aforementioned bag is perfect for photoshoots, travel & storage of equipment, this one is perfect for everyday use. This bag is comfortable, manageable, easily accessible for your equipment and just plain easy on the eyes. In the video you'll see that the outside pockets are convenient for storing your passport (hence the bag's name) or other small items that are easily accessible...unfortunately we don't live in an ideal world so I recommend putting a water bottle in the biggest side pocket and perhaps napkins, gum, or other such compulsory yet expendable items on the front and/or back smaller pockets. Do NOT put anything important on the outside pockets because it is a magnet for thieves and makes it easy for them to snatch & go. Now on to the inside; very comfortable, padded & adjustable. I fit a cropped or full-frame DSLR with two lenses and covers for each, a sizable flash, a diffuser, a lenspen, a remote switch, extra SD cards (in its own special padded designated pocket), an extra battery with cover, the battery charger and any other miscellaneous items I decide to throw in the bag per diem or on the regular (keys, small tablet, phone/mp3 player charger). With ALL of this in the bag it amazingly CEASES to be a burden or cumbersome by ANY means-couple that with the fact that the bag can be adjusted to increase in size (via a zipper on the opposite side of the big external pocket) to fit even more and you've got a diverse and comfortable shoulder bag. The equipment padding on the inside can be removed to use the camera for non-photography purposes as well-multifaceted bag indeed. The shoulder strap is comfortable, adjustable and the movable shoulder pad is super comforting even with all that equipment in the bag. I'm not saying choose this bag over a Stealth Reporter, I'm saying acquire both! They each serve their purpose for the given situation. I hope this review has been helpful.

I use this product whenever I am going out for a day or weekends. I have a small dSLR (Nikon D60) and, inside one half the padded area I can fit properly the dSLR eith an attached lens (18-55 mm). The are half of the padded area I fit two lenses (on on top of the other); One macro 50-75 mm that goes under since it is not used as often, and the zoom 70-200 mm on the top. I use a styrofoam to make a division and avoid sitting one lens on top of the other. I still have plenty of space on the upadded are that I use for a small tripod or so. I don't like that the outer pockets come withopi zipper or velcro though.

After reading the many positive reviews, I placed my order for the Passport Sling. I should have heeded the advice of those who described how small the bag is for their gear. I shoot with a Canon7D and usually carry a 24-70 mm, a 50 mm and a flash. I could not close the bag with the 24-70 attached to the camera body. And as others have described, there is not much room for extras (phone, glasses and wallet) in the bag compartment, though the outside pockets (without zippers) could hold these items. I always worried that something would slip out of these outside pockets. The shoulder strap was not very comfortable. After using it for a couple of months (I tried to make it work), I gave up and purchased a 6M Crumpler (I'm much happier with the Crumpler).

We bought this bag for a trip to Europe. We have a larger, sturdier bag, but it is a little unwieldy for travel. The Passport Sling has surpassed our expectations! It has a comfortable fit across the chest. The size is perfect for our three lenses and camera base (a Nikon d3100). We carry a small 50mm lens, an 18-55mm lens, and a 55-300mm lens. They all fit with room to spare without the extra zippered space. The little pockets inside the bag are great for our battery charger and cleaners. We can even fit our small point and shoot in with it. Once I opened the expandable section, I was able to fit the camera (with lens attached), the other two lenses, the point and shoot, and two small water bottles. The green interior makes it easy to find camera components. (Our regular bag is black inside, so it is sometimes hard to find a lens or the battery charger.) The bag is also much lighter than our other camera case.

This bag receives four stars for two reasons: 1) The pockets on the outside cannot be closed. We've already lost a pen that we had in there. This could be fixed by adding a zipper to one of the pockets or some velcro. 2) There is only enough padding for a camera and one lens. We remedied this by taking our our removable pads from our other bag and padding the extra space in this bag. Why Lowepro didn't add removable padding to this area is beyond me, but it certainly is fixable if you want to fit more camera equipment in it.

This is a great bag! I was looking for one that woud let me change lens quickly and that wasn't alot of money. This one fits that! And love the extra little pockets inside and the way the bag expands too! The only reason that I gave it four stars is because would love for it to be a little more padded but added neoprene padding towards outside and it helps!

Pro's: Lightweight. Convenient. Fits a lot more stuff than I can bunch into my hands and pockets. Keeps my hands free. Lots of compartments.

Cons: I thought the bag would be bigger, but it's plenty big enough to hold my camera, a couple of lenses, and some other stuff. Also, it would be nice if there was some way to keep the adjustable thing for your neck that's on the strap in once place instead of having it slide around.
