Comments about Vortex Solo 8x25 Monocular:
Image quality is ok but the contrast and sharpness are lower than my Vixen 8x20.
Its eyerelief is just enough for people who wear eyeglasses.
The focus ring is very difficult to turn. It is very narrow and the surface "rubber spines" make it worse. Fortunately, the depth of view is quite large when viewing distant objects. So you don't need to refocus fequently.
The eyeguard cannot be completely twisted down when focus on distant objects. This decreases the usable eyerelief.
The close distance is about 3meters.
For contruction, it looks and feels very sturdy in your hand. I feel very comfortable when holding the monocular. However, it is quite large and heavy.
It comes along with a Soft Carry Case but without any lens cap. It doesn't matter as the lenses can be covered when putting inside the carrying case.
