Using on a 24" iMac. Personal home computing is finally what we've been promised for all these years. This was the last piece of the puzzle.
Though you can hook this up to cable or dish or whatever, I've got it hooked up to an old fashioned broadcast antenna! Ha, the jokes on you Cabletown!

This is a single tuner - I should have read the product description more closely. However, it works great and the included software is outstanding. Signal strength/quality indicator allowed me to tune in troublesome stations. Elgato's default DVR format is playable by a PS3. Highly recommened, though beware this is NOT a dual-tuner device, so you will not be able to record two shows at once.

I was looking for alternatives to paying $100 a month for cable TV and settled on using a Mac mini as the core of my home entertainment system. The EyeTV One provides access to broadcast television and software that allows me to search and record whatever programs I want to watch, then play them back at my convenience. The software is largely easy to use, but the options can get a little complex if you want to do anything fancy.

This unit is better than I expected. I was able to plug it in to our iMac and record over the air TV. I held off giving it 5 stars because it needs the user to be logged in or, the user account needs to be an administrator in order to record programs. Other than that, I am very pleased with the unit.
I felt the price was reasonable considering what cable was costing me.
