Brought this filter kit with an additional UV filter to protect my two new Olympus kit lenses [ 14-42 & a 40-150 ].
The filters screw on easily, no cross threading and cinch up nice and tight on the lenses. They also stack well, but are easily separated.
The UV filter is fine and very unobtrusive in my finished shots.
The Circular Polariser works well, punches up the colour on water shots and removes the glare from sunlit concrete.
I have used the ND filter for an overly bright subject and it did exactly what it should, cut the light down by around half eg: 2000@F8 became 1000@F8.
Looking at the results so far I believe these multi-coated filters are well worth the small premium in cost.
The supplied wallet however is bulky and plasticky. especially as at least two filters will probably stay on a lens forever.
But overall GREAT value and perfect for a kit lens.

It fits great. It does the job. It is bulky and you will need a larger camera bag for your Canon G12 if you plan to keep it on your camera when not shooting.
Cons: 1. It's plastic and lightweight; it seems fragile, like it could crack easily if not protected. 2. Why 58mm for such a small lens? Now my G12 is big and bulky. I need a bigger camera case.

Comments about Hoya 58mm Digital Filter Kit:
This set contains the most essential filters for an amateur photographer. With a 58mm diameter, these will work with most consumer lenses.
The ND filter is great for allowing one to slow down the shutter speed for things like running water. It is also good for sunny days when you want to shoot with a large aperture.
The CPOL filter helps reduce light coming from reflective things, such as the sky or water. Stacking this with the ND filter is great for shots of streams or waterfalls.
The UV filter can be used as a layer of protection in places where the front lens element can get scratched: walking through wooded areas, crowded events, etc.

I have only used the UV filter so far but it does its job and I feel like my lens is being protected. Would have liked to choose the three
filters but all in all happy with the kit.

Excellent lens quality. Durable. Great fit with the Canon Powershot G12 FA-DC58B FILTER ADAPTER.
The filter case is big and bulky and not useful outside the home / studio. A small compact case for filters will be necessary if you want to bring your lenses with you into the outdoors and keep your accessory sack compact.

Comments about Hoya 58mm Digital Filter Kit:
I'm new to DSLR photography. I was amazed at how efficient the circle polarizer was at cutting glare off water and leaves as well as deepening the blue sky and making colors more vivid. Bought this kit based on the HOYA brand name. Just came back from the New England and pictures are awesome. Look forward to many more years of playing with these filters. Just remember to rotate the filter lens for maximum effect. Use the UV filter more as a protective device. Not sure if it offers any advantage vs. no filter. The ND8 filter was cool to experiment with on rivers and waterfalls in brightly lit areas. It produces really cool effects that actually work! Have Fun!

Comments about Hoya 58mm Digital Filter Kit:
I bought this kit for the UV filter which I'll use to protect a new lens, and for the polarizing filter which I'll use in landscape type shots. Buying in a kit gave me a better price than individual lenses and gave me a nice carrying case to boot.
