Canon MF4350d Monochrome Laser Printer (120VAC)
The Canon MF4350d Monochrome Laser Printer (120VAC) is a versatile multi-function office machine with duplex printing capabilities that offers black and white laser printing, copying, scanning and faxing in a well-designed package. Duplex printing from a PC or on incoming faxes, as well as the ability to copy single-sided documents to double-sided output can mean significant savings on paper. With the 35-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF), output is easily duplex printed for streamlined office workflow.
A 250-sheet front loading cassette and 23 pages-per-minute speed will keep your printing needs satisfied, and you can see Quick First Pages from printer or copier in approximately nine seconds. The built-in 33.6 Kbps Super G3 fax modem, 8 one-touch speed dial numbers, 256-page reception memory, and 100 coded speed dial numbers efficiently and quickly take care of all your fax needs.
The scanner accepts originals (monochrome and color) up to 8.5 x 11" at an optical resolution up to 600 dpi, with enhanced resolution up to 9600 dpi, with 24-bit color depth for greater fidelity to the original document. The copier is no slouch, either, with 23 copies-per-minute speed, 600 dpi resolution, 50-200% zoom in 1% increments, and Memory, Toner Saver, and 2 on 1 features.
The Canon Single Cartridge System combines the toner and drum in one easy-to-replace unit, resulting in excellent image quality retention and eliminating the complication and warehousing of separate toner and drum consumables.

It all works!, sadly discontinued. Scanning software is good, Faxing is easy. The only thing I would wish, is if you could access the page count and faxt status thru your computer.

I only print out a few text docs and some business forms. Used to use inkjet printers, got sick of ink hassles and expense. B&W is the way to go for me.

Recently bought this product. Works great and cartridges are also easy to find and cheap. Double sided printing was efficient and what I wanted most. Good value. Doesnt come with the USB cable so had to buy one seperately, $4 so not bad.

I use this printer on my home network which consists of Macs running MacOS 10.5 and 10.6. I either plug the computers in directly to the USB cable, or use one computer as a server to share the printer over the network (even though this model does not have built in networking capability, it can be shared through the OS, but see below).
The printer is fast at printing the first page. I love the duplexing capability. I love being able to make copies, with a document feeder, without involving the computer. I have not yet used the scanning feature, but look forward to having that capability.
At first my printer sharing setup seemed to work seamlessly, but after losing power (the computer I'm using as a server is an old one that will not charge it's battery and is a bit flaky) the sharing has stopped working and I have not been able to get it restarted.
Overall, this printer packs a lot of features for a price less than I paid for a mid- to low-range inkjet a few years ago. Plus, it the consumables are far cheaper per page than they are for the inkjet; that will only get used when I need color printing from now on!

So far I've used the printer, scanner and copier and this MFC is working very nicely. I haven't used the fax yet. I jumped at the chance to buy this item from B&H because of the great reviews this product received at the many sites I visited and because I got it on sale for [$].Features Included:One of the nice features of this machine compared to others is that it does double-sided printing automatically. Also, I love the fact that the software that comes with the printer allows you to print multiple pages on one sheet of paper, front and back. In other words, you can print 8 pages on one sheet of paper (front and back); 4 pages on the front of the sheet and 4 pages on the back of the sheet. It gives you the option to print 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 16 pages per side of a sheet of paper. It powers on very quickly and in general the job printing is very quick as well.I believe it also does double-side copying but I think the scanning is single-sided. Features Not Included:This is not a wireless MFC and it doesn't have ethernet; it's USB. Even thought it's USB it's still possible to network.Overall:For the price I purchased it at, I consider this to be a great deal. However, even if I spent $200, I would consider it to be money spent wisely. This is an all around excellent MFC. If you do some research you'll see it gets very good reviews at all the other sites. Many of the negative ratings are from Mac users who have compatibility issues. I'm a PC/Windows user mostly.
