Don't get caught without memory, get a high-capacity memory card.
The sleek and stylish Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 Still Digital Camera (Pink) offers many features that help you take impressive-looking pictures. The camera might be ultra-slim (only 0.7", 17.8mm) but the 10.2 Megapixel Exmor R CMOS chip will allow you to make big prints. The camera performs very well under low lighting via its High Sensitivity mode (ISO 3200), Handheld Twilight mode and Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization.
Fast moving subjects are not a problem since the camera can capture 10 frames-per-second. This, along with Motion Detection that adjusts ISO sensitivity and increases the shutter speed when motion is detected, will help ensure that you capture the decisive moment. To really see your subject in motion, the TX5 can capture your videos via the HD Movie mode (720p).
The large 3.0" wide touch screen color display allows easy operation and viewing of images and movies stills, even underwater at depths up to 10' (3 m). The display gives you the ability to select the focus point with a simple touch, scroll through images by sliding your finger across the screen, and one-touch access to the menu. And, shooting in a tight space, the 25mm wide-angle Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x zoom lens will let you get your shot. Other user friendly features include Intelligent Sweep Panorama, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Anti-blink, iAudio and many more.
We don't recommend dropping any camera, but don't worry (too much) if the TX5 should slip from your hand; it is shockproof for falls up to approximately 5' (1.5 m) and with its airtight construction it is dustproof as well.

Comments about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX5 Still Digital Camera (Pink):
Finally sony support SDHC card.
I use DSLR for several years but my wife does not know how to use. So have a simple and good photo quality point-shoot camera for her to take picture/video for family life and kids is the main purpose.
We use Casio for 4 years but my wife drop it and broken the battery door.(now using tape to hold it :P). It's shooting lag time(flash) make us missing some great moment but it has great battery life.
I originally thinking about TX7 until i saw this TX5 review.
(It has same most useful features from TX7, lack some no 1080i video and fancy 3.7' LCD)
This SONY DSC-TX5 rocks the world.
It has
* 25mm wide angle, Great for indoor
* 720p video, Great for everything. You can zoom while recording video.
* Waterproof (no more worry about water playing shooting)
* shockproof (no more broken battery door and won't afraid kids to hold it)
* dustproof (use on beach/ski/desert !? ).
*Intelligent Sweep Panorama Mode, shock all my friend who first time saw it.
*Burst mode with same 10M quality.
*It supports SDHC card. You will need a large capacity card to hold all those great photos and video.
*It is really easy to use and a truly point-shoot camera with great result.
*...too many good features to list here..
---You can check detail feature from the product's feature page.
* It is also thin, sleek and stylish which match my wife's prefer.
It shoot great quality photos and have the BEST
Intelligent (iAuto) Auto Mode / Intelligent Scene Recognition (iSCN) Mode I have ever seen.
( I rarely use other manual mode which I found most of time it has same results compare to iAuto mode)
You may find the picture will have more saturate color and artificial adjustment, but that means you do not need to do it in your computer.
*** You definitely need an extra battery, because its' so-so battery life and also because you will shoot too many photo/video with it once you hold it in your hand.
Great for my wife and me to take family fun pictures. Really great.
I bought 16GB SDHC card with it and for the first day using while bring kids to theme park, me and my wife already take more than 6G photos and videos.
If you need Raw format and love editing photo on your computer, go with DSLR.
