Comments about MXL BCD-Stand Desktop Microphone Stand:
I have bought stuff like this from B&H in the past when I really just want something to work once. Like the little tin-foil scoop lights with painted light bulbs inside them for an emergency shoot by kids at a school.
I wasn't expecting that from this MXL stand, but it really is a totally inappropriate purchase for anyone who wants to use it more than once. The pieces just bend in your hands. It's not the quality of a standard scissor-stand lamp, even.
Really really low quality. Maybe fine for 20 bucks, but even a kid shouldn't use this because he can possibly get hurt trying to get this in a position.
I was actually thinking of getting an MXL microphone until I got this and realized this is not even consumer-grade.

Comments about MXL BCD-Stand Desktop Microphone Stand:
Bought these for my podcast and I couldn't be happier with them.
For the price you simply cannot beat it. They're great quality, they come with 2 different kinds of stands and they come with the mic cable included. Honestly buying 3 of these saved me a ridiculous amount of time, space, and money.
The only downside is since they're attached to the table any kind of bump or tap on the table gets picked up but you'll get that with any mic mounted on the table you're using. Not a huge deal to me.
I highly recommend these stands. 5 stars isn't enough.

Comments about MXL BCD-Stand Desktop Microphone Stand:
Overall this is a good mic stand for the money. I have a large set up in my home studio and needed something that could be put out of the way when not in use. This stand does that. The built in XLR cable keeps the cable from being in the way or just dangling from the stand. It comes with two ways to mount it one is a screw down mount and the other is a c clamp type. My only complaint about this stand is that the very bottom connection isn't able to go back further. If you want a good mic stand at a low price this is the way to go.

I do Webinars with an Audio-Technica 4050.
It is a rather heavy mic and this stand works really well with the mic.
