First time buying this item. So far only used as a stand for background materials. Easy to use and store. Like the fact it can go quite high and still be stable.

Unlike this stand, many lightweight stands > 8' tall are a bit too wobbly for my purposes because the lightweight materials just aren't rigid enough. The typical alternatives are steel stands that are too heavy. This stand is both lightweight and reasonably sturdy, as well as tall. The locking mechanisms are well engineered. A very good value for the price.

Heavy duty stand that is well made. All metal construction with big handles to fit your hands. This stand will hold a large light box with ease but I like using them even for small stuff because they are so easy to open / close and set up. Expensive but you won't want to replace them later because they are too cheap.

Lighter than dealing with c-stands and yet this stand is a great size for holding a Speedotron light head with medium softbox in the studio with a small weight/sandbag for stability. We also pack and use them on location. Far lighter than a c-stand with similar stability. Slightly less perhaps.

Second time purchasing these stands. Compared with other 13" stands this one has the best build quality. We have half a dozen popular brands in the studio but this one we will buy again.

I use this stand to support a 500ws strobe and a 3'x4' soft box w/recessed grids.

It is well built and i like the fact that you can raise it 12' with minimal counterbalancing. And it had a great price.

It has a fairly large footprint but that is easily handled.

Great stands, Great price and prefect for my litepanel 1x1 and my 2
Coolight 10x10" LEDs. I also use them with my Super9's when lighting portable green screen and a couple of 15lb sand bags. Also works great with a perch and my Boom and with the proper amount of Sand bags.

These stands are great for portable work if you don't meed the super
heavy duty C stands.

I have worked with these Avenger stands for years - that's why I ordered another pair of Maxi Kit Stands. The main thing is that this stand is light, sturdy and strong. I use these instead of C-Stand's when I need something that's light and easy to re-position on a shoot. The 635B stand is well built and "feels right".

I currently use it for my boom pole. its lets me set up audio for interviews and then keep the boom out of the way ( so the cameraman can take his time setting up the lights again and change screen direction)
