The Casio Exilim EX-S8 Digital Camera can produce high quality images with a resolution of up to 12.1 megapixels for stunning prints with lots of detail. The camera can also capture video in the popular 16:9 widescreen format. Add to this the cameras 4x optical zoom lens, Best Shot modes along with the specialized YouTube Capture mode, Face Detection and the Dynamic Photo mode - all in a compact camera body that's 0.77" thick, and you have an incredibly versatile camera that is great for just about any shooting situation.

- The image sensor of the EX-S8 captures up to 12.1 million effective pixels for beautiful high-resolution images that can easily produce prints up to 30 x 40" in size while still maintaining impressive image detail.
- 4X Optical Zoom Lens
- The 4X zoom allows you to photograph subjects up close or far away.
- Ultra-Bright 2.7" Wide-Screen Display
- The EX-S8 features an ultra-bright Super Clear LCD display that measures 2.7" and has 230,000 pixels of resolution - enabling viewing from almost any angle. The bright LCD display also delivers unusually high contrast, giving you a particularly clear and crisp view of your subjects - even in direct sunlight.
- Best Shot Mode
- The S8 has 23 Best Shot modes including two unique modes that activate the shutter when the subject enters or leaves the frame. If you want to capture an image of a hummingbird in this mode, you can focus on the flower. Then, when the hummingbird enters the frame, the shutter will fire automatically. Having up to 60 frames to choose from, you will have the exact image you want.
- Focus Frames
- Besides the rectangular focusing frame usually displayed on the LCD monitor, you can choose designs such as a heart or a butterfly for the frame design. When the camera is correctly focused, a beautiful heart can be displayed, and when correct focus is not achieved the heart pattern breaks up. This makes it easy to ensure correct focus, and it is fun.
- Face Detection Feature
- The camera can detect faces automatically and adjusts for optimum focus and brightness to optimize the appearance of the faces in your image. The camera even follows the movement of moving subjects, which simplifies shooting images of active kids and pets
- YouTube Capture Mode
- Just by pressing the movie button, widescreen movies can be recorded with an aspect ratio of 16:9. The camera also offers YouTube Capture mode, which records and saves movies at the ideal settings for uploading to YouTube.
