I use this product for my automotive rig for still photography. It's great because it is adjustable. Only thing that was not good was that it released suction without notice causeing my camera to eat concrete, but overall not a bad investment.

I purchased the Avenger F1000 Pump Cup to use as an anchor for automotive photography. It has worked wonders. combined with the Manfrotto super clamps the uses become endless.

For automotive photography, it was easy to connect the F1000 Pump to a car with out having to damage anything. The Pump action suction is a great way to adhere the F1000 to the car, or any flat surface at that, very easily with out any effort. I had looked at other suction type mounts and this was the one offered the pump where others suggested a push down lock, which on automobiles can be damaging to nice investments of your clients.

Also, after looking at the other uses, the suction action is great for telling you when you are at optimum grip. And with the swivel design you have plenty of flexibility for anything you put on the mount. Even lights. Have the ability to put a light up high with out the use of a stand was great as well.

I will be recommending this product to anyone looking for a great suction mount that is easy to use and priced just right for its abilities.

To the manufacturers, I say bravo and cheers to you, Avenger/Manfrotto.

I used this product last week for a shoot and I have to say it is amazing, especially considering the price it is just perfect. We used only one suction cup to mount a Canon 5D with a 24-70 L Lens on a car and it worked perfect. Of course you get more safety with two of those but one seemed two work just fine.

I saw that a lot of people said that the release is kind of a pain. I believe the only thing you need to do is pull out the pin that you pump with, which releases the suction and makes it very simple to remove.

Very secure and very solid suction cup. Didn't come with instructions to remove it but what you need to do is push down a little 'flap' that's on the cup itself to help break the suction seal.

Bought these as part of an auto rig, and I LOVE them. They are more than adequate to hold up the boom, clamps, and 5D Mark II I'm using for the rig. They are a bit tricky to release since the suction is so strong, and occasionally there is a ring left by the cup after the release. This can be alleviated easily by thoroughly waxing the vehicle beforehand and buffing out any rings after - small price to pay for such a stable, reliable rig.

Used 2 of these in conjunction with superclamps to make an auto rig for my camera, used 2 times so far, they seem very well made and hold flat surfaces very securely.

Easy to use, just place the pump on the surface, and make sure there are no gaps between pump and suction cup and then start pumping the suction cup. The swivel pin is easy to use and is very heavy duty. This more convenient if you need to adjust the position of the pump.

The only bad thing is that the pump may leave pressure circles on the surface. I use these pumps for taking automotive photos and after attaching these on the surface of the car, it leaves this ring of debris. But this can be cleaned easily so it is not a big conflict.

I use two of these Avenger pumps for my automotive rig. This is a very good and sturdy product. I would definitely recommend this item for anyone who is looking to do the same. Purchase the Manfrotto magic arm and three Manfrotto Super Clamps and you got yourself a good boom to work with for shooting those crisp automotive photos with a blurry background.

Bought two for my camera rig set up, this thing get the job done, i'm not nervous when my camera is on the rig, it won't fall thanks to the great suction power.

I'm more than happy with these and my pictures come sharp thanks to the sturdy (and a little heavy) construction.

The only thing i would ask for is a vaccum release button or valve, sometimes it's a little tricky to remove.

I bought this product for automotive rig photography and I need something that is going to stay in place when the time time comes. This cup does the job and the swivel pin allows a lot of versatility!

Like the title says, this thing is not going anywhere..it sticks to the surface and it stays in my bag.

The F1000 is my 'go-to' suction mount. It's great for most of my needs, and while the surface needs to be smooth (like class or steel) it does not need to be flat and I have had this mounted on uneven surfaces of vehicles.

There is a small amount of flex though in the rubber (which is unavoidable I guess) that requires the use of 2-3 or more of these for the most rigid of supports. I generally use 2, with super-clamps and a boom pole but have found that adding a 3rd reduces camera shake.

As for their overall strength, I think an analogy will serve best here. I had a client who was hesitant of my attaching about $8k worth of camera gear to his car, so I mounted one of these to his car's rear window and told him to try and pull it off. He couldn't. Then before I could stop him he had an extra BIG tug and pulled the window out of his car. Oops.

Using it for car rig shots, the adjustable pin is very handy when holding the rod. However the suction cup has a bit of height when pumped up so it flex a bit when the car is moving. Overall result is good.

I preffer this pump cup than: 241 Pump Cup w/swivel 5/8 socket, as the F1000 is stronger for the use I will give it (car rigs). Can't tell anything new better than the other reviews, just remind that if you are thinking between F1000 or the 241, just get the F1000. However the 241 can be attached directly to a Magic Arm.
