Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:
The specifications in the user manual state that this is a 2 x 20 watt amplifier (at 1% distortion), not 2 x 120 watts. If you try to push up to 30 watts per channel, you have 10% distortion which makes it unpleasant for any type of music. On the positive side it is inexpensive, small, and easy to use. It will run some small speakers for a small size room.

Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:
We needed an amplifier to power outdoor speakers. Most tuner/amplifiers are wider than the 15 inch wide cabinet we wanted to use as the sound system housing. The Pyle amplifier fit the bill. I plugged in our Nano iPod and we now enjoy music from our deck all the way to the property line 200 feet away. The only challenge I had was getting the push type speaker terminals to accept the mega cable pin connectors. The spring in one of the speaker connectors actually popped out as I was trying to get the pin to seat. I was able to repair it by super gluing the spring onto the push piece and reassembling it. There should be no reason for this difficulty given that pin connectors are standard diameter. I would have given this device a higher rating had it not been for this problem. Also, as many posters have stated, the flashing blue lights on the front panel are obnoxious unless you're having a disco dance party. I just close the cabinet door to block them out.

I use the mini amp to power two outdoor speakers under my patio cover. The amp makes my ipod touch and android phone sound like a powerfull stereo. I chose this model for the front jack. Makes it usefull for mutiple users.

I was really surprised that this unit died as fast as it did. I hooked it up and turned it on. It made the speakers thump once and died. The fuse remained good, and the power LED turned on, but it would not pass sound.

Comments about Pyle Pro PCA4 Mini 2 x 120 Watt Stereo Power Amplifier:
I bought this to connect a Sony CD player (Sony cfd-s35cp) to a pair of Acoustic Energy Aegis Neo 1 (v1) speakers I had lying around.
Pros: Extremely simple to set up and use - took me less than 10 minutes from unpacking to having the set-up working. Sound quality is not bad at all for the price. There is increased distortion at higher levels but the sound is too loud for my room well before I reach this point. The small form factor is a huge convenience and the 120v/220v selector enabled me to directly use this in India. Nice construction and finish.
Cons: No complaints as of now. I found the flashing blue LEDs uncomfortably bright at night, but covering them with tape took take care of the issue.
Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommended.
