As described. Construction is a little flimsy, however, I have been able to take much better photos of my jewelry.
A little overpriced, but functional

Comments about MyStudio Tabletop Photo Studio w/ Jewelry Kit:
This studio is excellent for photographing small items or items to be sold online. It is small enough that I can put it in the car and take it to my daughter's house to take photographs of her new business effort of jewelry making. The tripod that comes with it is lacking, unless you're using a point-and-shoot camera and the lighting is just not quite bright enough in my opinion - that's why I'm giving only 4 stars.

Comments about MyStudio Tabletop Photo Studio w/ Jewelry Kit:
This is a great product, I shopped around for tabletop studios for a while and finally decided on this one. When it came in the mail I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the box. This is a pretty good sized studio that allows for photography of many items. We are using it for jewelry and it works VERY well. Gives professional quality images everytime! I love the reflector glass plates (white and black) that it comes with, I probably use those, and the necklace hangers the most. Also the wax is very good, and is better than the wax I had been previously using from CVS. The tripod is a little flimsy if you are using a bigger camera, but if you have a bigger camera you probably already have a nice tripod like i did. The light is very bright, I added some lights of my own to get a unique look, but you really only need the top light for a good picture. When I got mine in the mail, it had one black little scuff on the sloped white background, I put some whitening toothpaste on it over night and it wiped right off in the morninig. All and all, I am very happy with this kit. It comes with really everything you will need to take awesome pictures! I have used another kit before that was twice as much as this one and this one is way better! I would buy it again any day!

Comments about MyStudio Tabletop Photo Studio w/ Jewelry Kit:
I purchased this on a whim looking for something simple to help my jewelry photography which can be quite a pain sometimes. I found that it made getting professional looking photos so easy that I started using it for many other types of small products and I am just blown away by how easy it is to take an amazing photo with this kit. It's almost embarrassing how easy it is, really. I am a professional photographer so I have plenty of experience, but I can imagine that this would be an absolute MUST HAVE for entry level photographers to help with product photography. The difficult elements, lighting and background, are taken care of and there are even very detailed instructions on how to take a great photo. I even used the suggested exposure settings for my first photo and it was almost right on the money. I was so impressed with the MS20J that I just bought the larger MyStudio MS32 for larger items. I can't recommend this enough.

Comments about MyStudio Tabletop Photo Studio w/ Jewelry Kit:
I bought this kit for the lighted photo studio kit with the seamless white background and the jewelry photo props and I couldn't be happier with how they have helped my jewelry photography. I agree with the other photographer that the tripod is a bit cheap, but if that's why you bought this kit then you maybe aren't that smart. As for the photo studio, the seamless background design with a corner is pure genius and lets me shoot from different angles and still get the seamless floating effect. The lighting is very soft and even and that alone saves me tons of time. The props included in the jewelry kit are pretty simple, and I guess you could go try and find similar stuff somewhere else, but for the convenience of having it all together it is more than worth it to just buy the kit. The reflective acrylic panels and wax are so handy in photographing jewelry that I don't know how I got along with out them. Unless you are a professional with your own studio this is a great kit for anyone needing to improve their jewelry photography, or any small products for that matter.

This is just ok. I have a little bit of buyer's remorse. The tripod is pretty cheap, and mine broke easily. If you have access to jewelry display stores (especially wholesale) and art stores, you can get the boards and pieces that come in the jewelry kit for less. The white displays in my kit had black scuffs all over them. I had to buy other lights to use because I wasn't getting much light from this. I'd return it, but I broke the tripod, [...]So I figure I will just take it as a loss and maybe use the white back drop someday. But even that is something that can be built if you are handy with pvc pipes or boxes and tools.
