Comments about Pyle Pro PTAU34 Mini 75 Watt x 2 Stereo Power Amplifier w/ USB/Aux Inputs:
I had a pair of Yamaha ns-344s 3-way speakers fall into my lap for free and I needed an amp for them. Found this one on BHPhoto used and it works great for this purpose.
My speakers are 8ohm rated at 35w constant 100w max (rather low). The 75w figure of the amp is for 4ohm, so 40w is what comes out in the end. Some were complaining that a similar Pyle-Pro amp was underpowered, but this drives the ns-344s very nicely and very full sounding. Could have more headroom, but no distortion, no risk of blowing the speakers, and it compares very nicely with my smaller but more expensive David Eden studio monitors.
Sounds great on everything! Solo double bass, Kremerata Baltica, The Main Squeeze, The Wire soundtrack, That 1 Guy.
As EVERYONE has said the lights are annoyingly bright. Live with it or break out the black tape.
Would buy this or the 100w version again.
