I usually use a headdset mic. with my AT body pack, but keep a lav. and this adapter in the box. When a handheld cordless fails, or a client asks for one more, I can add an SM-58 or whatever with this little guy, and keep them happy. Sure, I could make my own, but the price of that Hirose connector and the pain of soldering those tiny pins is worth a lot more than this adapter cost.
