Eobody2 USB 8 Sensorbox from Cycling 74 is a USB to MIDI interface that can host up to 8 different sensors of your choice to be used directly with a software sequencer. The unit can also be used without a computer via the MIDI output, although high-speed USB significantly reduces the latency. And 12-bit resolution avoids "scale effects" which allows for a nearly linear conversion curve.
You can trigger and modulate sounds and videos, and create new sensor-based instruments without the need for knowledge of computer programming. Although the Eobody2 is a versatile solution for musicians and performers, other applications that can make use of this interface include healthcare apps, car simulators, fireworks triggering, robotics and step motors control.
Note: Sensorboxes can be plugged directly into your computer or into a USB hub (if you want more than one).
