I was thinking about getting another battery for our camera, other than the one that came with it, and originally was going to buy the smaller one...like the one that came with the camera, but after comparing the price of this larger one, with the smaller one, you get more 'bang for your buck' if you buy this larger battery, that lasts twice as long, and is a few dollars cheaper than buying two new ones. Battery life is good, having filmed a whole rodeo and not running out of battery. Another plus is the charging time...its really quick.

It holds a charge for a long time. Two IA-BP42OE batteries plus the small battery that came with the camera, gives me enough power to video for a full day. You can't do better than that.

Great long lasting power you can trust. Double size as the original battery, however does not make the camcorder uncomfortable nor significatly heavier. Used it at Disneyland and easily got more than 5 hours of recording. Charging takes almost the same time. I would definitely recommend it, specially when going out on vacations or whenever you don't want to miss anything.

Finally I have more battery than memory. A 32gb card reading 230 minutes remaining, and the battery showing 290 minutes. Hooray!
The only drawback is that it's twice the size of the original. That doesn't bother me so much, but the tripod mount is positioned so the camera will balance, and it's tailheavy with this battery.
Works great. If you need more runtime, I highly recommend it.

This battery really makes a difference if you are the on the go videographer. I use this battery with my Samsung HMX-H204 HD Camcorder and i must say i could film about 5 hours worth of material in HD before i need to charge it. The bad part is it cost [$] but i rather pay the money, instead of missing a once in a life time shot do to a dead battery.
