Love this handy device. It is built well, and does everything they said it would do. I do a lot of nature photography, especially bird in my backyard. The problem used to be how can I get close enough? Solution: Buy a wireless remote. Now from afar I can watch and go Snap, shoot taken. 2nd problem: shoots taken at night with a long exposure, normally not remembering the true lenght of exposure and shake of the camera. Solution: Set the timer walk around do whatever. Adjustments on the remote that is backlite make it even easier.

Works as described. Once in a while the shutter does not trigger and the light shows red instead of green.
I would check the functionality soon after purchase to make sure you do not have the issues mentioned in other comments.
The one that I received shoots more than one shot but you have to set the remote to continuous. It is not continuous like you are holding the shutter. Rather it is a series of single shots. There is a delay if you just press the shutter button but if you hold it halfway then press, it is closer to the actual shutter.
The interval timer will not accept a number above 99 but if you set it to 00 it will shoot until you run out of memory. So you cannot calculate shots for a five minute time lapse and set the count to 260, for example. You must set 00 and stop it when you have your desired count.
It does not require the hot shoe (at least on most cameras). It can be snapped in the shoe for convenience and tighted using a small plastic wheel (I never use the shoe).
It is more reliable with the remote plugged directly into the camera (no remote) though the cable is quite short. The remote shuts off automatically after a bit but the receiver needs to be turned on and off.
I use it for interval and remote shutter. Nice distance. Wish it hit 100% of the time (need to keep trying other channels, I guess). Manual is nearly useless.

Easy setup, easy to understand, great features, and, get this, it works as advertised. I awarded 4 stars only because there is always something that can be improved, although I may not have thought of it yet.

I found this product to be relatively easy to use "out of the box". As a first time user of this type of device, it took a little reading of manual and some exploring of the buttons to gain comfort with the device.

Comments about hahnel Giga T Pro 2.4GHz Wireless Timer Remote for Canon Cameras:
Use this product mostly for bulb exposures. Works very, very well. The only room I can see for improvement would be placing a hot shoe on top of the receiver so if you choose to mount it on the camera's hot shoe, you would still have one available for a strobe or a pocket wizard. You don't have to place it on the camera's hot shoe. It just has to be plugged into the correct jack on the side of the camera.

I had just bought a cannon rebel t-2 and wanted to take close up pictures of the wild life on our acreage. While I have not yet tried the timer at the touted 200 ft. range, I have taken many shots from within the house and camera mounted on the outside porch.
Just awesome and a great bargain to boot.

I use the wireless remote for night shots, or if i want to include myself within the photo without having to click timer on my camera and rushing in.
I love it!
the wireless remote doesn't have a shut off button, but don't worry, it shuts off on its own after 2-5 seconds when the receiver is shut off as well.
the receiver has a shut off button so you won't have to worry bout that one. the receiver also has a battery that it comes with so you won't need to purchase a battery.
In order for this wireless remote to work, you have to attach the wire that comes with it from the camera to the receiver, but that isn't a concern to me.
I love the bulb setting, i just switch the camera to bulb, sent my remote to bulb, and with one click and letting go the time begins, and if i want it to stop i just simply click again.
the remote is not that big, it fits perfectly in my hand, a bit bigger then a lipstick, but smaller then a pepper spray. the receiver is quiet small as well, so it fits in my camera bag perfectly.

Small, Light, works per specification once you figure out the instruction sheet.
Look at this as a digital watch from an instruction point of view, it is very simple once you understand the instructions. Keep the instruction sheet folded, stay in the columns to the folded page.
My use is for a remote control interval timer, can change settings on timer and physically on the camera on the "fly".

I use this for long exposure time lapse sequences and normal time lapse sequences as well.
I love the wireless feature being able to be someplace warm and dry while the camera is still taking great pictures is a massive bonus.
It appears you can only take up to 99 pictures at a time and have to set the number of exposures you want instead of setting how long you want to take pictures for which is slightly inconvenient, but that wont keep me from using this awesome tool all the time.

I bought this remote controler about 2 months ago in NY and I'm very happy I did.
I take a lot of timelapse photos. You can set the intervals from 1-99 or "--" unlimited.
I like the wireless remote for group photos (with me in the shot) or self-shootings (tried it on trampoline and snowboard). It really works wirelessly more than 100 meters away!
I only have one problem: I can't do timelapse shots with remote connected to camera directly with a cable, it only works for one shot. I'd like to have this option for long timelapses (for hours, days ...)

The manual is somewhat cryptic but this Timer / Timelapse controller does very well what it's supposed to do. We bought this unit for Canon DSLRs but it can be used on other cameras if you get the proper cable from Hahnel.

the wireless receiver failed before i could figure out how to use it. the instructions are typical for products made in asia....much is lost in translation.
i'll wait until canon comes out with their timer for the d60.

Great intervalometer at a fraction of the price for a Canon one. Works a treat. Had problems with the battery in the transmitter - it was flat in the box but once that was replaced it works well. Does everything from basic remote to full time lapse over distance, through walls etc. Recommend.

Comments about hahnel Giga T Pro 2.4GHz Wireless Timer Remote for Canon Cameras:
I was offered this as an alternative to the Canon TC-80N, as a way of taking shots with a camera held overhead on a monopod (live concerts).
My first gripe is that this remote does not seem to be able to send a continuous 'shoot' command. If you press and hold the button for 3 seconds you'll get 1 picture - even if the camera is set up for 8 fps.
My second complaint is that there is a variable delay between the button getting pressed, and the shot being taken. Not a big deal for landscapes, but for live work pretty tedious, especially if you're in an environment where you can't hear if the camera clicked, and you're pressing-and-releasing to get as many shots as possible (see above), half of the shots won't have actually happened been taken.
Thirdly, the instructions are appalling.
This is potentially a great product, and it probably does what it says on the box - but if it doesn't replicate shutter button properly, it's not good enough. I'll be returning it and replacing with the TC-80N.

I use this to photograph wildlife/birds. I set up the camera and trigger the shutter from a distance. It is also good for a wireless shutter release to prevent camera shake for normal photography.
I tested this from a few feet away to as far away as 350 feet and it worked reliably at all distances. I doubt I would use it at the longest distances, but I wanted to see how it performed. I'm very satisfied.

WORTHLESS! The transmitter works only when wireless, I can't get it to work wired. Transmitter won't auto-poweroff, so the battery drains in one day. Nothing but problems. Returned it for Canon TC-80N.
