Works Great
Used this on a simple video I shot this weekend and the clarity and reception were great. I did not try the other frequency but I imagine it sounds just as great.

I used it to record an interview. I had the Ac in the background that I couldn't turn off and I still got a pretty good sound recorded.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
took a bit of tweaking, including switching to manual volume and reducing volume to a level that tuned out background, but still enough foreground. Still not perfected, but we are very close. Sometimes picks up electronic interference, but we've worked around that, also.
all-in-all a pretty good system for the price range.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
Very inexpensive wireless lav. Only used it once so far, but had some inconsistent interference in which I couldn't identify the source. I was able to make it work though. If I was doing live sound and it was very important to get it perfect on the first/only go round, I'd go with something else.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
System is well worth its small price tag. Works well for me until its roughly 30-40 meters away, then it starts to pick up a little noise. Switchable channels are also a must if you plan on shooting in some sort of urban environment where interference is a possibility.

I use it for recording church sermons with camcorder.
It worked OK but had dropouts/interference as the speaker walked around. I hoped a VHF unit would work because of the cost savings. Wishful thinking.
Sent it back for a UHF Unit. May work for some people OK just depends where your at and surrounding radio interference.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
I am an action sport cinematographer and I bought this unit to use on our latest documentary about motocross. The unit has seemed to hold up to the conditions of a motocross track and the traveling to and from locations. It is an amateur unit, but for the price it can't be beat. There is a little noise, but depending on your surroundings, it still sounds good. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for an inexpensive unit with decent sound.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
These things are total garbage. If there is more than 10 feet between the transmitter and receiver, all you get is static. Hardly the 100-300' range in the specs.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
I use this system with my Sony SR-11. The item is simple to use and picks up decent sound. Although the construction of the units seem a little flimsy, the transmitter was dropped by one of my subjects and suffered no damage.
It would be nice if the transmitter was a bit smaller, but for the price you can't go wrong.

For a first step into wireless mics, this is a great unit. No problems at close to mid range, and good quality sound.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
I ordered the system to video tape a guest speaker. The system was very easy to set up the first time and worked great. The sound quality was better than I expected--near perfect--and I had no interference from another wireless mic system, lighting or other potential sources in the room. A great buy, IMHO.

Using this to shoot a low-budget documentary. Range is not quite what they say - starts to get "clicks" about 50-75 ft. away, but anything nearer is pretty clear. My sony hand-held mic works on it fine as well, for interview situations. Definitely seems worth the money invested, and BH has a very good price on this system.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System:
I purchased this system to do interviews ... use it with my Canon HV30. It's a piece of cake to use and I haven't had any problems with it. The audio is great and I've been really pleased with it.
I was a little worried, because the price was so reasonable compared to other systems I looked at, but the reviews I read were all good ... and that's been my experience with it so far. No complaints here! A great system for a great price!
