I use this wireless mic with my Sony HVR-A1U with good results with the talent fairly close to the camera. It works very well up to at least 50 feet. I have used it at distances up to about 150 feet, but it works at those distances only in a "sweet spot"--moving causes the signal to fade in and out. It's best to avoid moving the plug from the mic to the transmitter around--it can cause "scratchy" noise. All in all a good price/performance ratio.

I use the mic to do short range filming. The only problem is that when the talent has it on his back and the reciever is not in line of sight it makes a static noise. Usually its good, but sometimes it gets static, and I have to reshoot. Not that fun.

Easy to use for first-timer. Only thing not great was I had to velcro the square receiver onto the top of my camcorder which is rounded. Not ideal, but it worked. Sound quality is good for the price - so much better than without the mic system.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System (T57 - 171.045 & 171.845 MHz):
I bought two of these mics to run interviews. They work fine. The only comment I have is that a couple of times I've heard interference. It's not from running two mics at once, but it may be coming from other radio frequencies in the area. Otherwise, the sound quality is good.
One improvement could be using a rechargeable power source.

I needed to get some lavs quickly without spending a fortune and after researching, settled on these. The sound quality is quite good and they work reliably up to about 50 ft. After that, they tend to be prone to dropout or static depending on where you have placed the transmitter on the actor. They are plastic so not the most rugged but in a pinch, these have worked out great.

I bought this to use at a wedding and for some reason had trouble getting the volume up enough to hear. Tried it again and it worked fine.

I just bought this wireless mic and it worked great. I had a big project to do for a college and had no problems with the audio. I only give it 4 out of 5 stars because I'm sure there is one better out there...this isn't the absolute best mic on the market, but it was certainly good to do what I needed it to do.[...] Thanks B&H!

I had purchased this unit a year ago for on camera talkng head audio. It has been a reliable workhorse for the price. The audio quality is a good as any unit I have used. A few times I have wished to have two folks live or the interviewer and interviewer so I've purchased a second set with a different frequency. It's worth mentioning that I have been previously able to get good audio from the person wearing the unit and those standing nearby.

This microphone is amazing. The sound quality is awesome and the price is so low - everyone should get one! It seems to be pretty sturdy too, since it already got dropped on a tile floor and didn't break.

I got this to use with my Canon 5D Mark II when recording video interviews. It works really well. I've tried it with the transmitter and receiver separated by up to 45 feet away and gotten really good sound quality--little or no hiss, and no interference problems. Well worth the price. There are other models with different microphones; don't know how these compare. Thanks to B&H for recommending it--I'd buy it again for sure.

Comments about Audio-Technica Pro 88W Camera Mountable VHF Lavalier System (T57 - 171.045 & 171.845 MHz):
Cost was a big factor; I needed to keep cost down for our online training video production budget. I had borrowed one of these earlier from a colleague, and used it quite a bit. But something happened to the mic cable internal wiring when used in an action sequence. Still, I bought two more, as they are fairly inexpensive. Audio quality is fine; some interviews we do via a Canon 7D and coupling this mic with a BeachTek adapter produces much better audio -- and easier to edit -- than the H1N1.
