The B1030A from Behringer is an active 2-way studio monitor speaker, ideal for use in small home, project, or mobile studios. The cabinet houses a 5.25" long-throw Kevlar woofer and an ultra-high resolution 1" dome tweeter to provide crisp, natural audio with a wide frequency response. Advanced waveguide technology provides a wide sweet spot, providing great results no matter where the speaker is placed.
For a strong, distortion-free performance, the monitor has dedicated Class A/B amplifiers for each driver; 50W for the bass and 25W for the treble. A high-precision crossover network ensures that each driver section performs to its maximum potential. The rear panel has XLR, RCA, and 1/4" input connectors, letting you connect to virtually any sound system. A variety of controls on the rear panel let you adjust the monitor's volume and tone, and even compensate for the speaker's position within a room. The universal power supply makes it easy to use the monitor internationally, while magnetic shielding provides safe use near video monitors and other electronic devices.

Comments about Behringer B1030A 5.25" 75W Active 2-Way Studio Monitor (Pair):
I bought these speakers with an UX2 interface!
They hooked up just fine and they are actually really nice speakers, and are good enough for any home studio for beginners and people recording their band. They are perfect for mixing and recording.
I mainly got mine so that I can play guitar through the different computer programs, but it works perfect for every instrument including bass. So instead of paying for a guitar, bass and piano amp, I just got this and it works for everything including a PA. I am particularly impressed with my new keyboard(CTK6000). Playing Synth simulators through the B1030A's, gives off a warm sound that makes mixing so much easier.
For this particular pair they usually run for about $140 per speaker, so the deal on BH is wonderful, since you save about $100 compared to others in this range.
There are are certain things that can be done for best sound, first get the foam for underneath, and I recommend the speaker stands, that way you can raise them just above hear height, and use the foam to angle it at your ears.
*If your computer interface has balanced outputs like the UX2, then use the XLR on the B1030A's. I have confirmed this with Behringer, the 1/4 is TS and is unbalanced, even though the box and internet says they are.
What I mean by could be better, is that there are no instructions for the settings on back of the speakers! The best info is on the box itself cause it explains it better. But pretty much trim, room compensation should be put to -2 if up against a wall or 0 if openly free. "Lows" setting is you want them to work as a sub, or if you have a separate sub. The "Highs" were the hardest to get perfect, I would just change it accordingly by testing it.

Comments about Behringer B1030A 5.25" 75W Active 2-Way Studio Monitor (Pair):
I use these to monitor dj mixes. I am completely amatuer, but I can tell these are a big improvement over the hi-fi speakers I was using before. The component parts of the mix are much more clear.
My complaint is that it seems like the high frequency is a little fussy. There is a slight buzz sometimes, and you have to be really careful to keep the high frequency in check to prevent static and clipping.

Comments about Behringer B1030A 5.25" 75W Active 2-Way Studio Monitor (Pair):
Those speakers were my first studio monitors and I was very pleasantly surpised. When I plugged them in I was bluffed by the clarity of music. I think the three selectors on the back of the speaker are very useful for professionals.
I am also very happy of the mutliple inputs, as I use all of them everyday. The only exception being that one cannot use the XLR input if any other is plugged in.
The only con was I hoped for them to be a little bit more powerful but 100db of bass is already quite enough for standard use.
