Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera w/ EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens:
I'm a student who has been using a bad point and shoot for a while and finally decided to get a DSLR. This camera is everything and more. I was considering getting the T3I but this was a better choice. The camera is amazing, lightweight, and very ergonomic. I had to figure out whether to get the 18-55 lens or the 18-135. If you have a little extra money get the 18-135. It is a much better lens and is built much more solidly than the 18-55. That said the 18-55 is still a good lens.

As a video guy finally jumping into the DSLR video world, this is a good camera to get the hang of learning the ins and outs or shooting video with DSLR. Obviously there are more advanced cameras out there that take better pictures and video, but this is a good entry level DSLR to learn with.

This is a great all around camera for those who just enjoy photography or are quite serious about it. I opted for the longer length lens to have more options and I think it was definitely worth the money difference over the standard kit lens; quality is much higher than the price point.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera w/ EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens:
This CAMERA takes fabulous photos and the quality in low light is superior however the shutter hesitates too many times before the picture is actually taken.
My use for the camera is to photograph city scenes (including people) for me to paint so, the lag doesn't allow me to capture that moment I'm looking for, it's just too slow.

Purchased an original EOS Rebel from B&H in 2004 and it's still going strong. But the T2i has many more features that i will make immediate use of - e.g. auto ISO, larger image size (18mp vs 6mp).

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera w/ EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens:
I love the camera! Would avoid the lens in this kit!
The EOS Rebel T2i is much lighter than my Canon EOS 20D but I upgraded for higher MP and better resolution in large prints. In this I am completely satisfied!
If you are planing to use the LCD "Live View" for most of your picture taking, it slows down the camera's ability to focus. To make this matter worse, The EF-S 18-135mm IS lens included in this kit is even slower and has several times passed the focus point and not returned. I have replaced it with my Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS, from my 20D, and have had a great improvement, but the slower 'live view' has returned me to using the Viewfinder eyepiece.
The LCD is great for checking a picture for adjustments and is very clear when zooming in to spot check a part of a picture for sharpness.
I have only tested the video a few times and find it an okay feature but I wouldn't purchase the camera if I were going to use it mostly for video as the zoom and focus are manual and you may need a tripod to do both at once.
I also purchased the Canon BG-E8 battery grip for extending camera life while on camping trips when electricity for recharging isn't readily available, but AA batteries are.
My wife loves the simple "Full Auto" point and shoot for taking pictures of the kids and I like all the other features that allow me to design a photograph's light, speed, and depth. This camera works great for both of us!

This is my first D-SLR purchase and after a lot of research, decided to go with the T2i. So far I love the camera and am getting use to the controls. The image quality is great and you really have a lot of control over the processing. I decided to go with the 18-135mm lens because I knew that I'd have to save up for some time to get additional lenses and thought that the extra zoom would keep me busy for a while. Great Camera, Okay Lens perfect starter DSLR with room to grow....I'm glad I picked this camera!

The main reason I got this camera was to avoid the maddening lag and blurred photos in the past few cameras I owned. This camera is fast and takes stunning photos, even with the basic mode settings. And it has HD Video!

I have been a casual family activity & vacation photographer for personal use only. I have been using a Canon PowerShot A710 for several years. Although that camera has done a great job for me, I wanted to make to next step of a better camera to get higher quality pictures with different zoom capabilities. I was nervous about buying a camera that had so many bells and whistles that I could not easily operate, but my new Rebel T2i is amazing! It is easy to use with similar options as far as picture type, but has so much more for me to learn. It is simple enough to use out of the box but will grow with my interest and abilities for years to come!

We were looking for a good Digital SLR since we enjoy taking many pictures. My son has taken this camera to Rome to study architecture and his pictures are wonderful, and easy to use. We already had a cannon compact camera that take good small camera pictures and wanted a new SLR. Very happy with the camera.

After years of talking about it, I finally moved up from film to digital. I did spend a couple extra bucks for the 18-135 lens. Standard was 18-80 and didn't zoom nearly close enough. Camera is easy to use, has lots of cool features for amatures like myself. Bought an 8Gb card and can take mamy many pics before having to dump them to computer.
First digital camera and having a great experience with it so far.

The picture and color quality is awesome! It takes great low-light photos...Love the camera set-up and features...Have had great results for photoshoots and personal use. Very happy with my decision to go with this camera. So far do not have anything negative to say, besides still getting used to its mechanics. Although, I think that is just me trying to acclimate myself to a new camera.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T2i Digital SLR Camera w/ EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens:
This is my first DSLR. My background is in Large and Medium format chemical photography... Overall I love it!! The photos look great... The kit lens seems nice and sharp and focuses quickly. Occasionally in low light I will have a focusing problem and the camera will not shoot, but this is rare. The range of the lens from wide to telephoto is good for most situations. The low light performance seems pretty good even with the kit lens (which is f3.5-f5.6 depending on the lens length) and the image stabilization allows me to hold a longer shutter speed without much blur. This camera uses SD cards for storage, which is wonderful! The menu and shooting modes (There are many) are set-up for photographers who will be using mainly automatic settings (they work very well for the most part), the default "Manual" setting automatically adjusts the ISO... (which freaked me out a little the first time I used it!) This can easily be turned off, giving the photographer full manual control. Once you get the hang of it these settings are relatively easy to change, although the Aperture control is a little awkward. (you have to hold down a button while turning a wheel, they are positioned so it's not hard to do, but still...) I also bought some studio strobes and continuous lighting for stills and video. Big Surprise... No flash Sync on the camera! ordered this: "Nikon AS-15 SYNC TERMINAL ADAPTER - NIAS15" to solve the problem. (Although a radio slave might be a better option) I'm excited to explore the video options of this camera further, have done some tests, which have worked out very nicely, I'll try to add to this review once I've worked with the camera a bit more!
