Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
This has consolidated a box of attenuators into one. Now we carry one and it handles 99% of what we run into. No more digging through a box looking for the right one, it's always there.
Worked right out of the box. Great idea.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
Needed to drop the signal on a sensitive lapel mic. I added this to my setup and used the default -10db setting with no issues.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
Often times the output of my mic preamp is too hot for my AD converters. Placing the AT8202 after the pre and before the converter keeps the signal from overloading without effecting the sound. Also useful between the microphone and preamp when tracking very loud sources with sensitive mics.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
I agree totally with previous comments on this being a must have for Panasonic HMC 150 cameras. It gives you control and not the guy at the board. One of these should be packaged with every HMC 150 sold.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
Nice attenuator, works as expected, well-constructed. I needed it to drop a mixer's line level output for use feeding an Acoustic Image amplifier, which has no internal pad. The 800W AI is basically a high-quality guitar/bass amp, and would not normally be chosen for such applications, but in this case it happened to be my best PA choice, once I had an appropriate attenuator.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
I just used it at a dance recital. The mic level is always hot from the sound board. The attenuator helped, but I probably needed one with a -50 which this one doesn't have. Good quality and reasonable price though.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8202 In-Line Attenuator:
If you take audio feeds from any source, you must have this item-NO EXCEPTIONS! Attenuators should be in every TV/video shooter's tool kit, you never know what the audio feed is going to sound like, the AT8202 gives you great control, to prevent clipping from the audio sent to you from the audio mixer. I use my 2 AT8202's with my Tricaster Studio, with excellent results.
