The Audio-Technica AT8314 Premium Microphone Cable features professional XLR-male to XLR-female Neutrik connectors and is designed specifically for low-impedance microphone signals. The cable is sure to deliver maximum signal transfer and minimum loss due to a combination of its heavy-duty construction, inner and outer protective RF shielding and heavy-duty 24-gauge stranded copper conductors.
Note! The Audio-Technica AT8314 Premium Microphone Cables are intended for low-impedance microphone use. Use only AT8314 series (or like wired) cables when extending multiple XLR cables to avoid phasing issues, signal cancellation and other artifacts.

I sing professionally and work pretty steadily, typically giving my sound gear a good 15 or more hours per week of 'contact time.' I've chewed through a few mic cords lately, most of them dying through some derangement of the connection with the mic's XLR contacts, or somewhere in the cord thereabouts. Now, I've only used this Audio-Technica cord a couple of weeks, so far, so I cannot comment on its longevity, but one thing I DID notice right away was that the sound I got was noticeably crisper and cleaner with this cord than with others I've used. The contrast with my last cord (I think it was a Whirlwind..I've also used Shure, among others, but too long ago for meaningful sonic comparison) was quite marked; I'm not talking about a subtle difference here, one too easily lost amidst the 'noise' of uncertainty that'd accompany sonic comparisons made any way but side-by-side but a very obvious improvement in sound that leaped out at me even though my powered mixer settings remained exactly the same as for the previous cord. The mic in question is the legendary (and discontinued) Electrovoice re-15, a bulletproof classic that is so amazing to use that I eschew my newer mics every time in favor of using it,and now it shines even more brightly. Frankly, even if this new cord lasts no longer than most of the others I've run through I'd still be a fan simply because of its sonic qualities, though I have to say that the construction of the thing looks superior and I suspect it'll put up with more of the heavy use I force on it than was the case with its predecessors. It doesn't hurt that this cord is priced nicely, too. I've also got the 50' version, but haven't needed to use it yet...I feel confident that, at last, I've found the perfect cord.

Not Bad
Exactly what you'd expect in an AT cable. Good, not great.

Study cable, works great, not much to say, except you could pay a lot more for other cables, and don't really see the point.

I neede3d a longer XLR cable for my video class, as the 10 ft cable was not long enough. I love Audio-Technica cables, I think they are reliable and I've never had any trouble with their brand when it comes to audio interference, as I have had with some of the cheaper cables.

Decent wieght, fairly good flexibilty, not as flexible as Rapco NJB. My main question mark would be the fact that unlike some of the competitors this one is not made in the USA.

Audio Technica XLR cables are perfect if you want quality sound. They're durable, DURABLE cables that stay in place and give you a clear, crisp sound. I used this for both my camera and my turntables (I'm also a DJ) and these give me sound quality that you'd think you'd only hear in a recital hall.

Comments about Audio-Technica AT8314 Premium Microphone Cable - 25' (7.62m):
I bought this (along with the 100 ft) as a cheap alternative to a wireless adapter for a shotgun mic (Azden SGM-1X) that I use as a boom mic with my Panasonic DVX100B. Let me say the quality it great and it works well for a boom mic of short distances. As with the 100 ft it can also withstand being taped to the floor with gaffer tape and being walked on. Well with it for the price.
