Comments about Audio-Technica Shock Mount for Gooseneck Microphones:

I bought this shock-mount to use with an AT857AMLa microphone. This mount is rated to work with this microphone, but it can't support the microphones' weight. When installed the center piece is just pushed over to one side and any isolation is lost because the center piece is now touching the side of the mount. I contacted Audio-Technica and they have been trying to help. They sent me some new rubber bands, but that did not improve the situation. As a last effort I tried gluing the bands to the center piece. This helped a little, but the weight of the microphone just stretches the bands and same problem occurs. Unless you are using a very light weight microphone, save your money.
