The Kata KT DR-465I-BB Digital Rucksack (Black) is designed to carry and protect a digital SLR camera with an attached lens, 2-3 additional lenses, flash, tripod, personal gear and accessories. The pack is made from reinforced Nycore grid with EVA + PE closed-cell foam interior, smooth Yelloop interior lining and TST Rib structured protection. It easily converts to a rucksack from a camera backpack by removing the padded bottom camera insert. There is a main compartment that holds a digital SLR camera in the top grip position; while the modular divider system will separate, organize and protect lenses, flashes and other accessories, and a large top compartment that will hold personal gear or additional equipment.
The Digital Rucksack has internal pockets, an MP3 player pouch, external zippered pockets that allow quick access to supplies and a water bottle/tripod support pocket that pulls out from a side pocket. Loop on both shoulder straps allows connection of external pouches to carry a cell phone or mp3 player. An included yellow rain cover; folds neatly away into an integrated pocket and can be hung out to dry on the small buckle next to the handle, or tucked away for storage in one of the pockets. The pack is carried by a molded handle or a backpack harness. EPH system compatibility allows attachment of an optional torso pack or waist pack.

This bag is great!! It stay put when riding my bike around. The padding is awesome, I never feel like my camera is getting knocked around or messed up. I really like the two separate compartments, if I decide to get something from the store while out taking pics. It is much easier to find things in the bag since it has a bright yellow interior. I also really enjoy having a place for my tripod that is very secure. I had a Lowepro slingshot 100, and it never seemed to stay in place while riding around, and it did not have enough room in the top compartment to put much of anything in it.
The only thing that i don't like about the bag is the super long straps and the metal loops on the back. I am pretty thin, so the straps look ridiculously long if they are not cut down. Also it has these metal rings on the back with straps to tighten the top compartment down, but i took them off too. I didn't see the need to tighten down such a small compartment.
Overall though I love this bag. I have a nex-5 with three lenses and a P&S that fit easily into the lower space. If want a bag that is a little bigger than a sling bag and feels more stable then I would highly recommend this one.

I got this bag cause i travel a lot and i live in the Caribbean islands.
so i needed sth tough and protective for my Nikon D90.
the bag is A+ amazing quality/price
the only con is that the i bought a tripod "vista" with it but it's kind of hard to fit the tripod to it's docking place..it takes a little bit of time to place it and it's doable though it's not so practical
i recommend this bag....get it

I bought this bag because I will be in Washington D.C. all summer and needed something a bit more portable that I could wear all day while visiting all the museums and monuments. This is the perfect size for my needs. I initially was looking for a bag that would open from the side kind of like the slingshot, but in practice I find I usually just pull out my camera and wear it over my shoulder when I am sightseeing and then store it when I get on the metro or am somewhere cameras aren't allowed. The camera compartment is a little on the small side, but it holds my D90 with 18-200 attached and still have enough room for a 35mm lens and external flash. I occasionally have a grip attached and it is a very tight fit, so I dont know if this bag would work very well for a pro sized body, but it is good for everyday use travelling around the city
