Having an extra battery for the camera is essential and the package deal of the bag and extra battery made it a "no-brainer" to buy. The bag is the perfect size for the camera.

I bought the kit mostly for the battery, but how can you go wrong when the kit costs LESS than the battery on it's own AND you get a nice little case to carry the camera and all of it's accessories?
These cameras are pretty pretty battery hungry, but this one allowed me to film Congo Iliad for just shy of two hours (by comparison, the battery that came with the camera didn't even make it one hour).
