Color, Light & Composition - This book will take you through the basics of the most critical elements of photography - color, light, and composition. There is an explanation of what color is and how it works on both the complementary and contrast levels. Light is covered in all its importance both from the aesthetic and technical points of view. You'll learn to understand how to control light, the shape and line of it and how to craft it so that it makes your photos special.
Equipment is also covered in the sense of combining the technical and creative aspects. In other words, you'll learn how to use your gear to make images that both make full use of the features of the camera while maximizing the emotional and aesthetic components.
About the Author: Sue Bishop is an experienced author of several photography books, including Photographing Flowers (Photographers' Institute Press) and has exhibited her images around the world. In 1994 Sue and fellow photographer Charlie Waite founded "Light & Land" which runs photographic tours to destinations around the world.
