This kit is quite useful. The small battery that came with the camcoder is not good for long. However, i found that during my vacation, the 180 with this kit was sufficient for average of a couple of days use before having to recharge. The case is a bit gig, but otherwise OK. Charger obviously useful.

The battery charger and extra battery are great, but the case is huge compared to the camera it is supposed to hold. If you've got several cameras, binoculars, and lots of other gear, it might be O.K., but it's not convenient for hiking or traveling.

Great accessory kit to go along with the camcorder. Extra battery and charger is a must for vacation. The bag is a little small to fit the camera and all the accessories to go with it, but it is still nice.

I bought this as supplement to HDC-TM90K camcorder. Since this was the OEM product, no problem with charging and even with the original camcorder battery. It charges fast and turns off the LED indicator after battery is fully charged. The plug is also 110-220v compatible. The carry case is a added bonus in the price of battery+charger. Overall I am very happy with product.
The picture of carry case on the advertised image is not as good as it really look. The carry case is really made of durable material though there is no extra protective padding.

The Panasonic SDX1 doesn't come with a gadget bag or spare battery, plus the charger only works thru the camera. So this kit provides what is missing. Cheaper batteries available on the internet don't support viewing remaining battery charge on the camera. But if you need the double capacity VDK360 battery, you are out of luck. It isn't available in an accessory kit.
