Panasonic VW-BC10 Battery Charger
The Panasonic VW-BC10 Battery Charger is designed to charge your compatible Panasonic camcorder's lithium-ion battery. Simply connect the included power cord to the charger, and to an AC wall outlet, to let the battery charge. The VW-BC10 works with a variety of HDC- and SDR-series camcorders.

as soon a recieved it , i charged my battery to it and it did what exactly how long the new battery should get fully charge. i hope this battery charger will serve the purpose for a long time.

Since the Panasonic batteries are of a proprietary design, and since they take a good bit of time for their first charge, I highly recommend that you get a battery charger. Also, I noticed that the detachable cord to the charger is exactly the same cord that is used for my Panasonic camera. If you're travelling and cramped for space, you only need to take one cord.

I thought the charger would be like the one for my Panasonic digital camera - a very small device with the electrical prongs on it that are foldable. This one comes with a big adapter cord that makes it nearly as cumbersome as the charger that comes with the camcorder.
