The Sony CMT-FX300i Micro Hi-Fi System packs a lot of features into very compact package. Despite its small size it's got nice big buttons that make the system easy to use.
It's a CD player that can play both factory-pressed audio CDs and CD-R and CD-RW discs onto which you've recorded MP3 files from your music collection.
The FX300i is also an AM/FM radio with 10 AM and 20 FM station presets. It's also got an audio in jack to accommodate connecting to portable music players, PCs and other sources.
Although it's small enough to be able to take and fit just about anywhere, you might decide that your FX300i makes a perfect nightstand radio. If so, you'll find the clock, sleep timer and alarm will allow you to fall asleep to music at night and wake up to music in the morning.
Your FX300i sports a flip-down iPod dock that's compatible with the iPod touch, iPod nano (1st – 3rd, and 5th generation), iPod classic, iPod (4th and 5th generation), and the iPod mini.
And here's a clever touch: The included remote control not only allows you to control the CD player and radio, it also provides you with control over your docked iPod. And your FX300i charges your iPod even as it plays.
Two features that allow you to get great sound out of your FX300i are EQ and DSGX Bass Boost. EQ has seven preset equalizations for different types of music and Bass Boost, you guessed it, helps bang out deeper bass.
The Sony CMT-FX300i Micro Hi-Fi System is a small, low cost system with big, beautiful sound.

Comments about Sony CMT-FX300i Micro Hi-Fi System:
We looked at mini-systems for a while and finally came back to this Sony - we have an older version of a similar Sony system that did not include ipod integration and it has held up great.
This system is easy to set up, easy to use, sounds great. Is not a high powered system that will blow you away, but certainly gives you enough performance to meet virtually any user.
Only downside is that it does not charge i-pod when in stand-by mode (overnight, for example). Other than that, thumbs up!
