Comments about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6350 Large Format Printer (24", 61cm):
I use it to produce fine art for sale. The print quality is superb. The gamut is large and detail is superb, including tonal separation in the shadows and a high Dmax. After getting the right ICC profiles and tweaking my preview adjustments, I compared 6350 prints from scanned negatives with gelatin-silver prints made on fine art paper: very similar (unless, of course, you use a loupe to pixel-peep --- but don't do that). The 6350 has never jammed. Installation and use are straightforward. In short, *highly* recommended.
I might be inclined to gripe about the provided 90ml ink cartridges instead of the standard 130ml ones they must be replaced with. However, judging from what comes at this price, I understand that Canon had to trim costs somewhere, and they didn't do it in the unit itself. This ink is fabulous but expensive, and presumably you are selling your prints to recover the cost. Absolutely *nothing* is cheaply built or flimsy about this unit, not even the packaging.

Comments about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6350 Large Format Printer (24", 61cm):
After printing on Epson large format for years, I have drawn some firm conclusions. One, Epson for the proofing industry with a forward RIP frontbox can be fantastic. Epson for photographers printing from a Mac with the newer photoshops can be...not so good. If you have ever experienced the CS5 color calibration issues with Epson, the driver incompatibilities, and the borderless printing problems, prepare yourselves for this: Canon solves all of these things. They use a plug-in for photoshop. And it works wonderfully. They seem to stay on top of the updates for OS and Adobe. Good customer service when I called for a minor questions. And no kidding, I took this thing from in the box, to making calibrated prints in about an hour and half. No issues with an xrite eye one either. As far as looks...to tell the difference between this and the Epson would take a magnifying glass. Of course the color looks a little different between all major brands, thats all based on comparison. I would take what people say about color with a grain of salt. If you've had a rough time with Epson as so many have, get this instead.

Comments about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6350 Large Format Printer (24", 61cm):
We purchased this printer to produce professional, gallery quality prints on a variety of media. [...] The assembly was very simple once you finally sort through the vast array of literature to find a language that you speak. The job of carrying the printer and setting it on the stand requires two people so be prepared! Operation is very user friendly, the printer prompts during setup and while in use, the driver software also includes accounting software that can tell you the exact cost to produce a print dependent on the media. Media can also be tracked by printing a bar code on the edge of the media to tell the printer what the media is, print settings for the particular media, and how much media is left on the roll. Although we haven't put it through the production test yet i'm confident that it will perform beautifully!

Comments about Canon imagePROGRAF iPF6350 Large Format Printer (24", 61cm):
We use this printer for printing on silk. It is a replacement for the IPF5100 we have been using for 2 years with no problems. We needed 24 inches. The IPF6350 was easy to set up. The new inks are great with excellent saturation. All transport mechanisms work well although it's tricky to get non-roll fabric to feed correctly, but that's not a normal activity. We're happy.
