I'm not at the budget for some of the higher end radio transmitter/receivers that are out there, and will be using my Quantum in manual mode most all the time off camera anyway. What I needed was a solution to remote fire the Quantum with my "Pacific Rim" made radio system's receiver, which also terminated in a mini plug. I combined this along with a female to female mini bridge and my needs were solved on the first click. If you need grouping, remote ability to change ratios and power, etc. then more expensive solutions are clearly out there, including Quantum's. However, if you just need simple remote firing, this is a perfect item to work with.
