The Target Shooter is Zacuto's lightest DSLR camera support rig. Offering infinite adjustability and three points of contact for enhanced stability, the Target Shooter is the perfect solution for no-fuss run-and-gun DSLR video production. The included Gorilla plate attaches to the bottom of your camera via standard 1/4"-20 mount, and is joined to the rest of the Shooter via a 15mm rod (also included). With the gunstock pressed against your body, you can adjust height and angle for the most comfortable fit, bringing the ergonomics and stability of a camcorder to your DSLR.
Note! The Target Shooter cannot accommodate a follow focus or matte box, as it does not have a baseplate. If adding more weight to the front of the camera, we recommend one of the Cinema DSLR Kits with a shoulder pad and counterbalance weight.

Zacuto products are well made, trust-worthy products. The target shooter is no exception. It is a great addition to the FS100.

Comments about Zacuto Target Shooter:
I'm a photographer who is new to video. I do photography workshops in Havana and I needed something that wouldn't add weight and bulk to my travelling kit. I looked at video heads, (heavy), monopods, other shoulder rigs, etc. The Zacuto Target in combination with the Z Finder Pro is perfect. CONS..Price... $100 off made the price more palatable. Although it is very well made, [$] is way too much IMO. I now have two base plates, one came with the Z Finder and one with the Target. That needs to be fixed by Zacuto. Why is it not matt black? I'll be painting mine myself. Bottom line, I really like this rig.

Comments about Zacuto Target Shooter:
I really don't know what Zacuto is thinking with the pricing of this. It should cost half of what they are charging.
Then I wonder about the design. The plastic they use for the part that goes against your body is smooth and slippery which is horrible. I'm going to glue some rubber to the end to try and solve that problem. For the price these kinds of issues should be solved, not left up to the consumer to mod.
What is really annoying and inexcusable, however, is the design of the clamp that holds the baseplate to the main rod. It has a lever that, when loosened changes three positions! It allows, at the same time, the height of the baseplate to be adjusted as well as the length it clamps along the main rod AS WELL AS the angle the baseplate adjusts. This is a serious problem and makes adjusting it extremely frustrating. You turn the lever and everything crumbles in your hand, twisting and sliding the camera, the angle, the distance from your body. Just awful!
Furthermore, shooting with this is not nearly as smooth as a shoulder rig. I attached a RRock handle to the longer rod and use that sometimes. It seems to work best when I hold the handle with my left hand and focus with my right. (I use a Z-finder as well which is pretty much mandatory with this otherwise you would have too much shake.
I'm really surprised at this design...it's my first Zacuto grip product and it's definitely my last.

This is a great piece of gear when shooting run-n-gun DSLR video. It's small enough to stay out of your way and be completely useful when you need it to.
Only gave it four stars because it is so expensive. I think it could be $100 less.

Great product when weight and space is an issue like when flying. Missed five stars only do to the cost which is a little high.

I'm using the Zacuto Target Shooter with a Canon EOS 7D in combination with a Zacuto Z-Finder Pro, this combination is awesome for quick hand held shooting with the 7D and a must have if you want any stability in your shots.
The Target Shooter is quick and easy to assemble, attach and then remove from the camera. Totally worth the money as is the Z-Finder.
