Zacuto Gorilla Plate
The Zacuto Gorilla Plate is a baseplate used with the Striker and Target Shooter rigs and all versions of the Z-Finder. Attaching to the bottom of your DSLR using a standard 1/4"-20 screw, the Gorilla Plate allows quick release from your support rig while also supplying a base for the Z-Finder's mounting frame.
The Gorilla Plate is included with the Striker, Target Shooter, and Z-Finder Pro series. An additional plate must be purchased for use with an additional camera or with the Z-Finder V2 and Z-Finder Jr. (when tall-body or battery-grip mounting frames are required).
Note! The tapped holes on the bottom of the Gorilla plate are offset from the center of the lens. This is only a concern if you are using the Gorilla plate with other rigs that need the matte box in line with the lens/mounting screw hole.

This is a great foundation for building a DSLR shoulder rig. You don't have to use expensive Zacuto parts for everything, but not only is this indispensable for using a Z-finder, but it also holds your dslr rock-steady for use with follow focus unit (with the appropriate gorilla plate to rails adapter, which you can find inexpensively through third party manufacturers).

Zacuto items always seem to be to expensive, but after purchasing the gorilla plate i can see why. It is extremely well built. this plus the mounting frame for the zfinder worked wonders for me it is a quick snap on snap off of the zfinder. It is constructed with aircraft material and is extremely sturdy. It really was great and helped me pull of some nice candid shots real quick.
