Comments about Manfrotto 3/8" + 1/4" Adapter Spigot:
The spigot is being used on an item with a 1/4" mounting hole, which requires mounting into a 3/8" hole. I can also use it join two items with those thread sizes, then mount both items as one item.

Comments about Manfrotto 3/8" + 1/4" Adapter Spigot:
Don't ask me why Manfrotto calls this a spigot. I call it an adapter, but either way, it's one of the most useful things you can have in your grip case. Let's say I've got a Manfrotto tripod which has 3/8" holes at the tops of its' lets to hold flags, scrims, or whatever, and I need to attach an arm with a 1/4 20 connector on it. Done.
There are so many uses for these, it's impossible to list them, but every kit should have two to four of them on hand. There is also a 1/4 + 1/4 one, which allows you to attach two 1/4 20 devices that have 1/4 20 female connectors. Once again - if you don't have it - forget it!
