The Audio-Technica AT4053a is a transformerless, condenser studio microphone designed for critical capturing of vocals and instruments in professional recording and sound reinforcement applications. The small diaphragm, condenser capsule features a linear frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz and a hypercardioid polar pattern. The hypercardioid pattern is most effective in eliminating off-axis noise and ambiance that can cause feed-back.
The capsule is replaceable with omnidirectional and cardioid elements for added versatility. The AT4053a is capable of reproducing high sound pressure levels (SPL), up to 146dB is reproduced without noise caused by distortion. A high-pass filter switch eliminates low frequency noise. The AT4053a is ideal for capturing drums, percussion, piano, guitar, stringed instruments, brass and vocals.
