The Kata D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack (Black) is a stylish, functional lightweight, protective backpack which is designed to carry camera gear and everyday personal effects, and can easily convert into a simple and useful daypack when not using or carrying a camera. The pack is made from lightweight, durable Ripstop nylon and polyester mesh exterior with TST rib structure that provides protective zones for the camera where it will most likely be impacted by shock, vibration plus Aeriform foam that is made of perforated super light laminated and reinforced EVA and EPE foams. The Yelloop interior is a bright yellow material for viewing the contents with ease and attaching any optional Modi-Vers dividers.
The D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack is designed with a double compartment concept; the lower compartment has a special padded camera insert and Aeriform dividers to fit a D-SLR with standard lens attached, 2-3 lenses (up to a 70-200 f/2.8 not attached), flash and accessories. In the upper compartment there is plenty of space for personal effects. When needed the camera insert can be removed and the zippered partition between the two compartments opened to create one large storage space. A rear laptop slot will hold most laptop computers with a screen up to 15.4". A variety of external pockets will store accessories and personal gear that need rapid access such as, wallet, phone, water bottle etc. The pack has tripod connecting straps that can be attached to the side of the backpack and a detachable rain cover for protection in rough weather conditions.
The D-Light Bumblebee harness system has a 3D soft molded foam back for comfort and ventilation, an Aeriform foam padded harness which is uniquely shaped to provide comfort and non-slip grip, an adjustable sternum strap and a stabilizing waist strap. There are 2 specially designed connection loops for the Reflex E camera strap that is used to carry the D-SLR camera comfortably and take the camera load off the neck. The EPH (Ergonomic Photo System) is designed with connection tabs to enable interconnections with other Kata products. There is an Insertrolley connection that is used to place the pack over a rolling bag handle, when this is in use the harness simply tucks out of the way.

Comments about Kata D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack (Black):
The backpack is great for traveling! It accommodates my Canon 40D camera, 3 lenses (of course not like 70-200/2.8) and a flash, plenty of small camera gear (like filters, lenspens, caps and so on) plus 13' laptop and 2 sweaters in case you get cold. It is not so awfully big as other Kata backpacks, and for me it is a plus.
It is quite ergonomic, so carrying your stuff for the whole day is not a big issue.
The only drawback for me is that your equipment is not so easily accessible as in more expensive models.

Comments about Kata D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack (Black):
I use this bag for school. When I am going to go shoot after classes I bring this bag and it fits all my gear, tripod, notebooks, and my laptop. It gets pretty heavy when fully packed but that is to be expected. But do not expect to fit big textbooks along with five notebooks. I usually bring a couple folders which fit in the laptop slot and two/three notebooks in the upper compartment.
It's also great how the camera compartment can be removed to give me more space when I don't need my camera. The rain covering that the bag comes with is very handy. I've used it many times and it keeps everything very dry.
The removable compartment is great but it is a pain to put back into the bag. But that's only a small annoyance.

Comments about Kata D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack (Black):
I took this backpack on a wilderness fly fishing trip into the Alaska backcountry near southwest corner of Denali N.P. I carried a small HD video camera, a GoPro HD waterproof camera, and a small digital still camera. Also in the pack, extra GoPro mounts, extra rain gear for me, bug juice, water bottle and carried a tripod on the exterior strap. The pack was heavy but rode well. I never felt off-balance crossing some strong current streams. The included rain cover was priceless. We had Alaskan drizzle for several days running and it kept the gear dry. I used the same pack on a domestic news gathering trip during Hurricane Irene and felt it carried enough stuff. The internal dividers are a blessing for sensitive gear, and a little annoying when you are just trying to use it as a backpack, but most are removable. Workmanship was excellent. In a month it's had a lot of abuse and doesn't show it.

This bag provides lots of padding. It's pretty big on me considering I'm only 5,2 with a small frame. It was great for getting all my gear on the plane as a carry on which included my 11inch laptop, flash, nn4, and a couple of lenses. I'm sure it can fit a 15 inch labtop or more. Used a separate bag for tripod.
I used a smaller camera bag (low pro versa 200) when I actually got off the plane and for everyday use. Less padding but it let me carry less weight and allowed for the tripod to be hung down the middle or across at the bottom. It also let's me access my camera from either side when I sling it around.

Comments about Kata D-Light Bumblebee-210 Backpack (Black):
I was concerned about this backpack after some reviews, but I bought because of the reasonable price. I just used on a trip to Seattle with some light hiking. I love the color inside and how easy it makes it to find things in the bag. The compartments are great and good ability to adjust the padding. I have a small frame and the bag seemed to sit on my lower back no matter how I adjusted the straps. But otherwise no complaints. I don't have a lot of experience with camera bags, but I liked being able to hold my camera with 2 lenses and also lots of room for other stuff.

Overall very good. Quality construction, comfortable to wear, and holds a lot of gear for it's size. Tripod holder works well too, so far. Would be a bit better if they could figure out how to make the camera accessible from the top of the bag. Currently, you have the put the bag down and lie it down completely before you can open to get your camera out.

Great materials. Perfect for an amateur striving to become pro; hold just enough stuff, no more no less. But don't expect to fit textbooks unless you remove the camera compartment. The versatility of this bag is great for students. However, it sits rather high on the back of someone who is six ft tall; isn't uncomfortable, but looks kind of funny.

I've given it 5 stars because for the price and it's feature. I can't seem to find it anywhere in the market. So far I haven't put it to use yet but as for from I can see it's everything I wanted for my day trip. Padded space for my camera gear 18-200 on canon 50D body and speedlights. There are still room for my other (to buy) gear. The space for your non camera gear is also pretty spaces. I can easily fit a sweater and a sandwich in there. With all the gear in the bag I wear it around my house. It was pretty comfortable due to the extra padded. I'd recommended this to all my friends.
