On my HV30, I can shoot a full tape with this battery before having to recharge it. The first one of these I had died after about two years of use (and I used it plenty). It's cheap enough that that's fine with me. My new one is working just fine. I might just buy more of these for longer shoots, rather than a more expensive, big battery, to get more battery time for less money; all you would need to do is change the tape and battery at the same time.

I purchased a brand new Canon Vixia HV30 in 2009. However, it never worked properly because the charge would disappear even when the camera wasn't in use. I was concerned that the camera was faulty but never got around to sending it in for repair. Recently, the camera would show a full charge but would fail to power up unless plugged in to the adaptor. I was beginning to kick myself that I hadn't sent it in for repair. However, purchase of the new battery solved all the problems. Now it charges up quickly, holds charge and has good battery life. Phew!

B&H has it all, when I went looking for an specific battery the first place that popped up was B&H, since I bought my Vixia there I knew I would get the right product at a really decent price plus the online staff was amazing recommending solutions relevant To my needs, they even gave me links to product reviews. As for my batteries, they work fine now I can get 6 hours of shooting time with the original canon batteries.
