This light is VERY nice....yes the battery door is cheap...but if you treat your equipment with respect, you should have no problem with it. The dimmer feature is VERY nice, but it could use a wider range of dimmable power. When the dimmer is the whole way down, just a little crack of the dimmer is bright...and there is not too much difference between 50% power and 100% power. The amber diffuser is nice as well, but does cut down on the distance the light will be thrown. It is VERY BIG however, and does/might get in the way of other pieces on your equipment. For me, I have a Canon XH-A1 and it rubs against the screw that holds your external xlr mic.It is still worth the $75 I paid for it.

Well, I was really excited to use this for a shoot today and was confident that with finding a mid-range in price for the on camera LCD light it would be decent enough quality. I was WRONG. Upon putting the batteries in the camera and turning it on, sparks flew, a burning smell ensued and smoke came from the light. For [$] dollars you expect a lot more. I should have went with the LitePanels MicroPro and paid more to begin with. Now, I'm about to head to a shoot without a light and have to send this lousy light back. Don't waste your money on these bescor products. My entire office now wreaks of burning camera from where it exploded. Luckily, my camera wasn't damaged as the sparks flew.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
I use this product mostly for interviews in poor lighting, and also when shooting at night when setting up traditional lighting is not possible.
This light won't solve all your problems and can't substitute stand alone lighting, but I doubt many here would think it could. However, for a small, portable light in settings where other lighting is not possible this light works great. The dimming control allows you to get some decent lighting on an interview without blinding the subject (which can happen when this thing is turned all the way up). The filter works great to help soften the light in certain situations. I have even used this light in a larger setting than an interview when there was no other options and it worked okay.

I use this equipment for indoor low light condition. Is better when you use in a short distance, no more than 10 feet.

I use this light for off camera lighting and backlighting. I love it and the versatility of the adjustable dial. I also like that it has an attachable foot with an easy locking wheel. I have used it on every shoot/wedding since I received it. I plan to buy more.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
I just used this for the first time at a reception and it worked perfectly. It provided just enough light to get good pictures in the dimly lit hall, but not to bright to be annoying to the guests. I love the fact that it dims and runs on AA batteries. I had to add an extra filter though.

Flicker is noticable when dimmed and poor battery compartment design.
I returned it and bought 60W light.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
I think this is going to be a great light for me because it is very bright and works off of AA batteries. Fits perfectly in the shoe. I also love that it came with a tungsten filter. BUT, the dimmer didn't work so I have sent it back for a new one AND I had to add a white filter to diffuse the light for use at receptions.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
Fairly bright light. Dimability is great. Cheap plastic feel is a negative. Battery cover feels like it won't last very long without a lot of TLC.
Would like a slot to hold the tungsten filter when I'm not using it.
Light pattern is definitely hot in the center. The companies who make these lights need to start making them for 16x9.
For the price, I'd buy it again.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
I bought this light for my Canon HF S20. This cannot throw any usable light beyond 5 feet, yet the glare seen by the subject is harsh. The built-in light on the camcorder is way brighter. The warming filter is still too blue for indoors and the battery compartment bulges when batteries are inserted. I was afraid I would break it removing the batteries.

Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
Have to admit when I bought this i was a little nervous. Did not know if it would be enough output. But to my surprise it is a very nice light. Could be a little brighter. But serves the purpose.
Comments about Bescor LED-35DA Dimmable 35W LED Video & DSLR Light:
Great light and fairly bright considering it runs on AA batteries. Nice color. Switch is easy to turn on accidentally in the bag, so you have to be careful.
