I would love to have a legitimate Fisheye lens, but sadly, I don't have that kind of money. This lens is a great alternative though! It fits right on the end of my Nikkor 18-55mm DX-VR lens, and it's very secure.
It has a great fisheye effect, and the quality is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It's not quite as sharp as my Nikkor, but still a great alternative to a high-priced lens. Highly recommended!

Outdoor with enough lights, OK picture color and special effect, but don't expect same sharpness as before.
Bottom line, it's a good toy to play with before one commits to the $600 fisheye lens from Canon.

This lens does give a wide angle but even at medium settings of my 18-55 mm zoom, the edges become cut off. It doesn't work well as a macro because of the distortion and anywhere off center the image is blurry. The body of the lens is well made but the cheap rubber grip rings are annoying, as they tend to slide around.

I bought this lens to see if I would use a fisheye lens much or if it was just another gadget to collect dust in my closet. As previous reviews have stated, it does not deliver the best quality photos. But it is fun to play around with and I think I have decided to put the money down to get a professional version.

Screws on to my 18-55mm zoom lens, and at 18mm the converter provides a full circle in the frame of my DSLR image. A great way to get a taste of super-wide-angle shooting without shelling out for a "real" super-wide lens. Image quality suffers significantly around the edges, with lots of purple fringing and blur, but that's to be expected at this price point.
