For the price this is a great little lens attachment. However, it really only works on wide-angle lenses set at ~18mm f/4.5 or more, otherwise you completely lose the limited fisheye effect. I was hoping to use it on my 50mm 1.8, but at that f-stop everything is completely blurry. When kept within the limited range though, you get a decent fisheye look.
One thing I have really enjoyed is the macro filter. It can be used with the fisheye or separately, and allows you to get as close as 1/2 an inch from your subject. Obviously not as great as an expensive macro lens, but still lots of fun to play with.
NOTE: this comes with 67mm and 58mm rings. I did not know this and made the mistake of buying my own separately.

The lens simply screws onto your lens where you would put a filter on. It works great, the only single problem I had was that It was not full frame (meaning when zoomed all the way out with a wide angle lens it leaves a circle photo instead of filling the entire space). Which made it a little bit more difficult to use for my skateboard photography which is so fast paced, but I got used to it.

I got this to adapte for most of my lens i already have. The two step rings it came with fit my Panasonic 14-140, bought an additional one for the Panasonic 20mm. I fits directly onto the 14-42mm and screws in pretty tight with not slop. The effect it gives me is what I was looking for with little light lose or strange aberrations. The only down side is its a two piece system with a macro lens then the wide angle; so when taking it off the wide angle part usually comes off with out the macro part.

Comments about Opteka 52mm 0.35x HD Macro Fisheye Converter Lens:
I've used the fisheye lense in tight shooting situations, both indoors and outdoors, landscapes and people. Overall I'm pleased. It's a great option to have for $35. The center is sharp and it works well with the auto focus of my Canon 18-55 zoom. As a professional photographer and graphic artist, I quickly realized it's limitations for large prints or fullscreen computer displays. (It has actually made me want a good fisheye lense even more.) Haven't used the close focus element, so no comment there, yet. Detailed critique: as others have said, it's not sharp around the edges and the chomatic abberation is pretty bad. That said, I am able to remove a lot of color abberation/fringing when I aquire the RAW file into photoshop, in the manual lense distortion correction tab. Also, the filter doesn't change very quickly. If you like to change lenses often (like me) it's a bit of a hassle screwing and unscrewing the filter off and on.

Used with Tamron 18-200, which has a 62mm front thread. Tried to use it for panoramic pictures. The down-convert from 62mm to 52mm for this lens is too much. Removed good portion of viewing angle I was expecting to get. If I zoomed in at all it caused a lot of blur around the outside. Might work better on a 52mm lens so you get all the viewing angle.
Interestingly, I bought a 52-62 adapter separately because this lens says it only comes with 52-58 and 52-67. But when I received the package, it had a 52-62 adapter in it already, and no 52-67. Anyway, I returned it, +1 star for B&H return handling.

Well, it's obviously not the real "Fish Eye" lens, but with my 18-55mm lens on its wide end this Converter allows me to make some nice wide angle pics. I don't know if there is a better way to do it for the money.
Oh, and even though i haven't used it much yet, it looks very well done. Also, it comes with a small bag and some other things, which are a nice addition.

I've only had this converter lens for a short time but love it so far! I didn't want to purchase a whole new lens just for the fisheye effect and this was exactly what I was looking for at the price I was willing to pay! Very easy to use and comes in a nice little pouch with covers on both ends of the lens. Compact but gets the job done!

I bought this as a cheap alternative to a mounted lens, and I haven't been disappointed, this is definitely an alternative to a 500 dollar lens, and will get you what you need, it just mounts over a real lens, and you can zoom in to take care of the circular outline, or just take crazy skateboard footage.

How to:I begin by firstly removing the lens cap from my camera, then follow by removing the lens cap from the Opteka, i then proceed to wipe both lenses off, with the microfiber clothes included, which allows no smudges, hairs, dust, or fingerprints to be shown in your master photos, after that step i proceed to screw the Opteka onto my camera, The last step is to focus, your lens into the aspect your after, and begin shooting.Info:The easy screw on Fisheye attachment, is both simple, and fast to use, absolutely love this attachment, works with ease,Pros:This Fisheye is fantastic in so many ways, the focus is perfect, and simple to use, the hood is great as-well, i think in the whole month that ive owned this, ive taken it off my camera once, as im in love.Cons: There isn't much that i could pick on, to do with this product as i find it almost floor-less, Tip: By unscrewing the fish-eye lens from the macro lens, you now have a high detail close focus lens, that allows you to take photos with minimal distance (3cm) allowing you to pick up every detail, and to create a unique photo

requires a filter convertor to fit a canon EOS, nicely fisheyed, workes well with a 18-55mm lens. Works badly on a 75-300mm lens.

Comments about Opteka 52mm 0.35x HD Macro Fisheye Converter Lens:
Do not buy this lens thinking you will get a fisheye adapter. The only way this lens takes fisheye shots is if you already have a VERY wide lens to screw it on to. I thought my Sigma 28-200 lens would be fine spun all the way out, but no fisheye distortion at all. Apparently for this to work one must have an 18mm lens. Not that you can know that because IT DOES NOT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS. You are just supposed to know how the bloody thing works out of the box. This thing is a complete waste.

It is my first time to own a fisheye lens and I am very impressed with how far [$] has taken me! This lens works very well and I love how it's just an attachment to my 18-55 so if I don't feel like using it anymore, all I have to do is unscrew it and put it in my bag. Thank you, Opteka!
