The Easyrig 4 Vario 400N Support Bar is the camera-suspension mechanism for an Easyrig 4 Vario support system. The support bar works in congress with Easyrig's dual-armed vest & hip belt (sold separately) to form a complete overhead-suspension system for handheld videography.
The Vario version of the support bar is so named because it features variable tension and thus supports a wide variety of camera weights. On the Easyrig 4 Vario 400N Support Bar is a knob that adjusts the tension of the extension line, enabling it to support loads from 22-40 lb. This feature is ideal for those whose camera setup varies significantly from shoot to shoot.
Like the standard Easyrig support bar, the Vario 400N bar suspends the camera on a hook that extends from the support bar's powerful extension line. All Easyrig support bars work with Easyrig's hip belt & vest systems to form a mechanism that transfers camera weight from the shoulders/arms to the hips, the part of the body better designed to handle weights.
