J-Rod Twin Mount
The J-Rod Twin Mount attaches to any camera with a microphone clamp, and provides two neoprene isolated shoe mounts. The Twin Mount will easily allow you to attach wireless receivers, shotgun microphones and other accessories. Weighing just under 3oz, the Twin Mount won't weigh down your camera, while providing a stable yet quiet structure for mounting accessories.
- The Twin Mount will work with any camera featuring a microphone clamp. Among some of the compatible cameras are the Sony Z5, Z7, A1, EX1R, EX3, Canon A1 and A1S, G1 and G1S, XL-H1, XL2, XF300, XF305, Panasonic DVC20, DVX100B, HMC150, HMC70, etc.

used this to replace a different mic mount rod I had .. I like the 2 mounts and the quality of this unit seems very good .. I like the spring clips in the shoe mount that (a) keep a nice hold while you are tightening your device onto it and (b) prevent the device from slipping out one side - very good design as I've almost lost other devices on other units from this exact problem). well done !!

This is a very smart design and works to add accessories to the standard mic mount on most prosumer cameras. However, Sony's original mic mount is not meant to hold the weight both a shotgun mic and a wireless receiver so the entire rig on the V1u feels wobbly and front heavy. This is a Sony mic holder flaw, not that of the J-Rod. This works OK locked down on a tripod, but I wouldn't want to use it for run/gun work. I intend to return for the J-Rod Super Strong Twin instead.
