At first, when I switched from a sx100 p&s to the T2i I was miffed that I needed to get extra battery packs that cost as much as they do. I got three. I go out, I want all the power I can get. I've never used all three. I went through bunches of double A's and when I thought deeply into my pocket book I came up short with them. Now, since I have switched, it amazes me how long between charges, And I take thousands of shots a month.

I have a canon t2i and wanted a back up battery. This generic seems to have approx the same range as the Canon brand one which came with the camera so I was quite pleased as it was substantially cheaper

Fits well in my T2i as per the factiry design. I certainbly haven't noticed any shorter or longer life, and frequently switch between my original battery and this OEM model.
I've had it for nearly a year now and would call it a much more reasonably priced ( than Canon) battery replacement, or spare.

Seems to have somewhat less capacity than the original battery, but not as much as it is cheaper. However, a more annoying is the fact that it doesn't display the remaining charge, so it dies instantly.

I wanted back-up batteries for my Canon Ti2 camera. Recently, I had purchased a Canon battery locally - it was out of charge when I went to use it the first time during a shoot! Major fail.
I was thankful to find Pearstone batteries at B&H. I bought two. The one I've used so far was fully charged. I received them quickly. The price was phenomenally lower than the name brand (about 3x less). I'm very happy with the order so far!

I got two of these batteries as back up since I'm starting a new semester and I will be shooting several shorts with my canon t3i, so they are mostly back up batteries. They perform just as well as the canon brand, the only downside is that it doesn't display the charge left on the battery so it could die on you suddenly. But for the price that little kink can be overlooked.

Haven't put this through it's paces yet, but it charged right up and seems to be providing power appropriately. I indicated this battery is best as a back-up, rather than as your primary batter, only because I am more inclined to trust my Canon battery.
