Arturia V Collection 2.0 - Virtual Synthesizer Anthology
The V Collection 2.0 from Arturia contains 7 accurate emulations of legendary analog synthesizers that have collectively defined the sound of modern music. Delivering high quality and authentic synthesizer sounds, the virtual instrument bundle includes emulations of the Minimoog V, Moog Modular V, CS-80V, ARP2600 V, Jupiter-8V, Prophet V and Prophet VS.
Each synthesizer contains over 400 carefully selected patches and provides photo realistic interfaces that perfectly match the original layouts on your computer screen. Smart Preset Managers help you to organize the presets by name, instrument, type and project. Version 2 and up add new modulation possibilities, effects, arpeggiators and polyphony.

This is a really great upgrade of 7 classic synthesizers... each one a faithful reproduction of the original but with added features such as complex modulation, step sequencers and the like. The included sound banks are very reasonable and the original sounds are very faithful if not spot on - Arturia has done an excellent job here. One really nice idea is to load several of these up in a VST host such as "stacking" 3 Jupiter 8's up with slightly different programs for a very fat live sound. Although the cost of the collection seems high remember that each VST is very affordable since there are 7 in the set. On a modern multicore CPU there is plenty of power to play many copies of each VST.
